Not foolish...but obviously a dick. And I stand by that opinion too.

I drive in LA. People are on their phones constantly. I stand by my opinion.

I most remember him from Desperate Housewives and his very memorable HIMYM episode, which I still quote sometimes (“we’s gonna get silly, bitches!”)

She most definitely was - between the bulky bulletproof vest, the empire waist dress at the party and all the tight shots, they were doing a lot of work to hide it. There was one shot at the dinner party after warning Jake and Holt where she was quickly in profile and it was pretty obvious.

Do it for a living and you’ll come to hate it - find me a mechanic whose car doesn’t still need “a bit of work”.

Better Telegraph Saul

I want it framed in my house.

Bob Odenkirk’s picture looks likes he’s the kind of guy that definitely gets into cane fights on the floor of the Senate

Damn, these looks good. It’s a testament to Greta Gerwig that she went all out and brought on set a period appropriate photographer, in addition to banning things like smartphones.

After 20 years in the restaurant/bar business one of the things that still sticks with me is how many restaurant and bar owners have never worked in the business. This is a huge reason for the failure rate in the first 18 months being 75% instead of a lower number.

Good article. I’ve had the “you should start a restaurant” comment many times over the years but I’ve always resisted. Reading kitchen confidential all those years ago was a good idea. I still love to cook, but thankfully I get to do it on my own terms, and then eat it with my family every night.

Oh, did he hit a nerve?

“If other people’s rude critiques are harmful to you psyche maybe this isn’t the career path for you?”

Because people are only rude in the restaurant business?

Nooooot really? Latinx representation is definitely lacking. But I think your stat reading skills are getting a D+ otherwise.

Totally agreed. The ‘keeping up with the joneses’ mentality of boomers where they all felt the need to go into massive debt to show off to their suburban neighbors is something which thankfully seems to be disappearing with that generation. It shocks me that they make awful financial decisions, then get mad at younger

They don’t want you to stay broke, they want you to stay in debt. Broke means no money. In debt means you earn, but can continue to pay on interest-bearing debt. The latter is more profitable for the lenders.

Favorite thing about Millennials (my gen) is that we observe the frivolity of expensive things that Boomers and Gen X seem to adore. If we’re broke, it’s because we spent the money on experiences.

“That’s the saddest quote I think I’ve ever seen.”

Soooo.... you’re saying I should eat them?
