Self indulgent, clumsy turd of a screenplay that can't be saved by fancy cinematography or a nice score. JJL does a cool job with a terrible character, Channing Tatum straight hams it up.

Sklar Bros + Servo and Crow = CheapSeats3K.

It also bears relevance to Will Arnett's career, having been a part of the Arrested Development burgeoning success that got squashed, so maybe could work as a meta joke on that level.

Nobody talks like that about 12 oz mouse! NOBODY!

also,

^^And "Carry On" is by Kansas. I thought this was just a thing we were doing.

I personally enjoy "Rock You Like A Hurricane"

We must have different definitions of techno. There is a ton of sugary, saccharine electronic music out there, but techno by definition is cold and brooding. Here's an example of what I'm talking about:
https://www.youtube.com/wat…

A good DJ set is a good DJ set man. Chopping the songs up doesn't make you better than the guy slowly working through a great record collection.

Also: one hour? Techno (and by that I do not mean EDM) is a very long-form reward system. If you're unhappy about not being hooked in five seconds, try a little patience. It's hypnotic, like meditation, or for some, like watching paint dry.

Then go to your local sports bar college night and let me get eviscerated by repeating blirps and parps in peace

Vinyl sounds way better mate, lest I reveal myself to actually care about electronic music but digi laptop DJs are generally trashballs and the ones with the crates of records are more often legit

my 2¢: not vaporwave. Where vaporwave was sort of breezy and evocative of waiting room music and 90s pastiche, PC Music tends to be bright and angular, and also more aimed at satirizing/embracing (it really blurs that line to me, and probably intentionally) more 2000s-era trends and feels.

I feel like lumping Joy O in there is kind of a stretch. He's prominent on the underground circuit for sure but isn't headlining stadiums like Disclosure. Plus his music and DJing is still great. He hasn't poppified one bit.

Totally agree (although Benga has now retired completely from music, unless I missed a comeback). This fake-ass "big room deep house" trend is definitely taking over, and in the process covering up the old deep house artists like the aforementioned KC and Farina as well as Moodymann, Theo Parrish and a thousand others

IIRC there was a map in one of the original Xbox Godzilla
fighting games (Save the Earth or Destroy All Monsters Melee—or both??) that was literally a huge boxing ring. Now that was some fun.

Hate to break it to ya but Jeff Foxworthy is neither brilliant nor recent…

Shhh.. Just sign the check and I'll release some more endorphins!

I dunno. I neva hearda no mayor…
