Every time I see the latest development in GameStop’s gradual disintegration, I have to repost this prophetic Penny Arcade Strip from 2007:

GameStop should consider holding their own tournaments; maybe turn their shops into social zones that happen to sell games. I can’t see a future for them solely as a brick and mortar store any longer. 

I hope they offered a 25 percent trade in value severance package.
