Here’s my Steve Rogers story from when he leaves with the stones:
In the first episode she traveled across time and space in a instance. Plus, she was supposedly in Bill’s tear duct the entire time. Did she have to wait until Bill was actually dead?
Couldn’t agree more, I feel completely Moffed. I’ve been a big apologist for him, but that was the worst in so many ways. The doctor beats the master in the first few minutes, and the rest of the episode he is just useless, basically running away without a plan. Missy’s entire story arc was wasted. She didn’t have one…
That was my thought as well. I doubt I’ll ever see it, so if someone could just confirm later on that would be great.
I can live this with, mostly, BUT why does everything have to be in New York?!? Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, Spider-man, Dr Strange, Iron Man et al, and sometimes Agents of SHIELD all existing in relatively small area without their paths crossing? Just spread ‘em about a bit.
Oooh when that first stab of the theme song hit, I got a shiver up my back like nothing else. A lot of negative comments here but whatevs. At least it isn’t a grimdark remake of the original. Bring it on.
I prefer his real accent over that terrible American accent Tim Roth was doing at the end of the trailer...
It’s like the TV/Netflix part of Marvel is in a bubble universe, from which there is no return. Information goes in from the bigger Avengers universe but can’t get out, like a media event horizon. I guess its ok, although imagine the nerdgasms when someone gets to go the other way!
Sad news: BaaadDad (aka Nigel Buxton) passed away at the end of November.
I want to see it in the new universe - set on a different ship either concurrently or just after the adventures of the Enterprise.
Throwing my own thoughts out there:
I was as disappointed with Prometheus as the next fella; I felt it could have been so much more than it was, and with only a little change to the actual film. The scientists were stupid, the action-logic sometimes unforgivable, but really, from where it started to where it ended was a sound story arc. (perhaps a…
Fair enough, it’s been a while since I saw it. Great movie though, regardless of how they ended up there! Thanks Charlie!
I’m with you on the first two in your list, but have to put Jenna Coleman in third, simply because she is a better actor than Karen Gillan/Freema Agyeman. Clara as a character did have some pretty dodgy moments I will give you that. (Although Amy’s baby storyline was quite a low point all in all)
My understanding of the Snowpiercer, and I’ve only seen it once, was that the whole climate collapse was orchestrated by Ed Harris to prove people wrong about how his train-around-the-world was a stupid idea. Or something like that. Basically Ed Harris was crazy and made it all happen.
I think its best to have a bit of both, some two-parters and some standalones. A good story can fit in the 45 minutes easily, and others need the room to breathe.
Too right. After 6-7 straight hours of Black Mirror you would probably need to seek therapy...
Or what if she never knows he is the Doctor? We know he is going back to moments in his past, so he could meet up with her just before or after another adventure. She can’t know it’s him because wibbly wobbly whatever, so he has to conceal himself while still trying to save the day. And River just thinks he’s some…
Love the character, hate the story arc.
