Community brought me here too! I discovered it late in season 1, recovering from the worst breakup of my life, with a girl called Annie, no less. It made me feel less lonely, because, pathetically, at least the TV characters were my friends and wouldn't choose my mean and destructive ex over me just because I was

1) Being able to value and respect yourself without the need for external variables. Self worth should be inalienable and intrinsic.

IMAGINE HOW IT MAKES US FEEL

I've never ever thought about the major influences on my views on love and sex. Wow.

Giver of life!

Geez, could a week go by without a white person being racially fetishistic/discriminatory or a dude being needlessly defensive and tone-deaf about something sexist?

Theo Rossi in the header photo looks like a tanned BJ Novak crew-cutted and digitally buffed up like a reverse Chris Evans.

Metatextually, there are plenty of reasons the alien stuff is a logical part of a 50's Indy adventure. But enjoying a movie isn't metatextual. The world of Indiana Jones consists of three adventures fighting Nazis and assorted evil people hunting vague mystic powers, so lurching into high-concept sci-fi was incredibly

Part of it is that it has to be slower as they can only make so many big changes to the past before they screw up the whole MCU. SHIELD might be hobbled by being reactive to the movie universe's needs, but at least it can surprise us. We know too much to ever be genuinely surprised by Agent Carter.

I read Cisco's vest full of red vines as a shout out to Fringe.

Do you think Killer Frost knows what a singularity is?

I would like to produce a weekly column or podcast with Hannibal as the host. Hannibal, if you're listening, here's my pitch: advice and conflict resolution centered around sex and relationships, with you giving anecdotes and occasionally insulting the participants. We'll call it "Under Buress".

You can hold something to high standards BECAUSE you take a lot of joy in them.

I hope not. But I hope she has a good reason to be going into battle against Steve. Drama!

I'm with you on this completely! He's my favourite movie reviewer on the site, and we're pretty spoiled for great reviewers. I usually get a sense of (a) whether he liked it; (b) whether I'm likely to like it; and (c) some formal filmic stuff I can either notice and appreciate or not give a damn about.

How many people can take on Peggy "Concrete Fists" Carter and not go down after one punch, TWICE, let alone after a tranq dart?!

Took me out of the moment. She even said PEGGY CARTER really loudly. It was a real "Chuck, it's your cousin Marvin! Marvin BERRY!" moment, only not played for a laugh.

I'd give anything to have the Commandos as a permanent fixture in the cast with Dum Dum fighting Jarvis to be Peggy's second-in-command. Neal McDonough is a treasure, and his addition to the show would cement it as the best cast in comic book TV (which it pretty much has in the bag anyway).

noooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Those who are down on Boreanaz as an actor really understate his comic chops. "You are betraying me now, as we are talking!" is one of my favourite moments in the show, along with his crotchety inability to use technology and his giggly glee about seeing the ballet.
