Funny you should say that. Personal anecdote time.

Harley grew too quick when the boomers all bought them as mid life crisis toys or retirement presents starting in the 90s. Now they are too old for motorcycles and their sales are back to where they were pre mid 90s yet they over built the factories and massive dealers that the reduced sales cant support.

Wasn’t true in our case. Back in 2010 we were buying a new car, and needed to get rid of my wife’s 2004 TL. The dealer only offered $11,500 for trade so I said no thanks. I’ll take it to Carmax and see what they will offer I thought. Carmax only offered $10,000. I went home, washed it, put it on Autotrader, and sold
