It's on YouTube and ever since watching the colour version I have to pause my blu ray copy the moment it switches to black & white and pull up the YouTube app on my TV so I can watch the extended bits. Fuck I wish QT would release the "Whole Bloody Affair" cut.

Or is Maeve the data mule? Remember this all started with Abernathy saying that Dark desire line to Delores, right? Then she mentions it to Maeve. They want a host to escape and Maeve just so happens to want to escape? If writers are playing with timelines maybe this is how Abernathy got crazy in the first place? She

I'm sure Tim Burton is waiting by the phone. Johnny Depp for Mr. Banks and the requisite bland Danny Elfman score and voilà. 57% on rottentomatoes and a billion at the box office.

Same. Mortis was freaking awesome! My jaw was constantly on the floor for how bold the storytelling was. All this great Star Wars mythology stuff given to us not in a movie, but in a cartoon aimed at kids? Mortis was on of my favourite arcs on the show. Couldn't believe it when I read that sentence in the review.

Seriously, that music was great. As I said in my own comment Kliner really nails the John Williams aesthetic. I'm suprised he hasn't moved on the feature work. The music on Rebels is about the only improvement on Clone Wars, in my opinion. Maybe Kliner was given a bigger budget or something on Rebels than he had on

How about a nod to Kevin Kliner and that amazing music that played during the scene where they navigate through the collapsed star? Great stuff. Kliner nails John Williams aesthetic more than any composer I've heard. The music is about the only thing that improves on Clone Wars. Speaking of which, The Mortis Arc was

That was…beautiful. Just beautiful. Made up for the bad video.

That was so lame. I mean come on AV Club, try harder. I like to think this place doesn't link to stupid crap like this but I guess I'd be wrong.

Once again we Canadians gets screwed out of something awesome. I would love to see the uncut version of this. Why oh why can't you think of us poor Canadian's & our stupid fake imitation HBO.

Clone Wars budget was consistent throughout. Lucas didn't care if it made money or not which is why they shot each episode in 2.35:1 widescreen. The jump in quality was due to the R&D being done in the production pipeline(certain season 3 episodes were actually produced during season 1 or 2 but held back for whatever

I actually agree with the Walken comparison to a degree. I can totally see where she is coming from. He has this tone in his voice that sounds a bit Walkenesque. Not old Walken but younger Deer Hunter Walken. Is she saying Hayden is as good an actor as Walken? Hell no. Just the voice

It's about damn time someone said it. The prequels are a lot of fun. I get why people hate on them, I just don't agree. The arc of the three films is masterfully told(it is!) and the visuals alone make up for dialogue short comings. I really started to appreciate the prequels more after watching the Clone Wars TV

Here here. I want Mask of the Phantasm in 1080p. I adore the Bruce Timm/Paul Dini Batman The Animated series. In my opinion it's the best onscreen Batman we've ever had. The production values blow my mind for what was suppose to be a kids TV show. The full orchestra score with movie quality compositions? Dark

This guy gets it. TDK has Ledger's Joker going for it and that's it. It's plot contrivance after plot contrivance(which is even more annoying when a film sells itself as "realistic" and "gritty").

You're welcome?

Watch the unrated cut

I think Close Encounters of The Third kind was the first movie to have a directors cut

Close Encounters of the Third Kind has two extended cuts, the 1997 "Special Edition" is the best one. The original "directors cut" includes the scene of Roy inside the mothership which the studio forced Spielberg to include or they wouldn't fund the new scenes. The movie is better without seeing inside the ship(though

I use to consider The Wire the greatest show ever. Then I rewatched it and man oh man there is some terrible writing going on. The exposition is CSI level bad. Whenever the major crimes unit huddles together to break down the investigation for Ronnie Pearlman? It's cringe worthy. Watch how Lester will mention one part

I still say the best Star Trek film is "Master and Commander". It plays out exactly like a Star Trek film should. My god I would love a sequel
