This is like when your shitty father is too busy at the track so your grandparents step in to make sure you’ve got clothes for school and food and shelter during a hurricane.

To be fair, while you may miss the Mackey conversations I strongly suspect you’ll still be attacked by the Rednecks for being a ‘cisgender boy’ just as if you were a ‘transgender girl’ (it’s the approach Parker and Stone usually take with their Redneck characters, as shown regarding races/racists in ‘With Apologies to

I expect that in Captain Marvel they’ll do a sort of deliberate version of Peter Parker’s ‘appearance’ in Iron Man 2 (or what they did in an off-screen way with Miles Morales in Homecoming) - involve a young girl fitting Kamala’s description who could potentially be confirmed later to be Kamala Khan, but who they can

And catholics, protestants, atheists, agnostics - everyone got a whack of the stick.

It actually was - I’m feeling more hopeful the more I see of this show. And the majority of reviews of the IMAX screening come down around ‘It’s not great, but there’s definitely some good stuff in there’, with most of the positive stuff coming from the second episode after the premise has properly sunk in. It could

They might do - I’m pretty confident they’ll want to continue getting one SW film out each year - but they might just be smart enough not to do that. If they don’t want to reach diminishing returns they’ll want to keep the franchise seeming varied, and steaming through 7,8,9,10,11,12 and so on with only two years

Any way you can fix a ‘What’s On Tonight’ logo over the header image each time? Like io9 do with their ‘Morning Spoilers’. This is a good category, I’d like to be able to more easily find it each day.

It’s that old story/joke/fable about the family in danger from flooding/fire/insert your crisis ignoring help from passers-by because they believe God will save them, and when they die and ask God why he didn’t save them he says he tried, he sent all those passers-by...

Is THAT what he said? I couldn’t make it out, it sounded like gibberish to me (because, well, why WOULD he say ‘cliffhanger’? The rest of the show - particularly the Terror - hasn’t been that meta).

Anson Mount is where the series would be set.

There’s a similar story behind Kalpen Modi, or ‘Kal Penn’; he didn’t believe what he’d heard that anglicising his name would improve his chances, but he tried it on a whim and his auditions TRIPLED.

Hey, I’m on your side, but claiming the moral high ground like you do with ‘because I am a caring person who believes everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect’ isn’t going to get you into conversation with anyone who’s actually fallen for Trump’s BS.

I agree... although actually I feel like it’s the kind of attitude BoJack would have the other way around. Maybe the episode would have been better if the initial roles were reversed, so BoJack was the one trying to reclaim the muffins. He could have more obviously been umming and ahhing about them, then got annoyed

But different release methods foster different responses. Sure, people can watch in their own way anyway, but a set time of release per episode is able to unite people in their viewing experience in a way that batch releases distinctly do not.

Huh? It’s not, it’s part of the success.

For the man behind Butterfield Direct and O News he has a strange attitude towards ‘parodies’.

I think it’s just a natural nervous response, they can’t help it. You know, like a spasm of some kind.

Holst’s ‘Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age’ seems like the most appropriate music for some reason...

Yeah, he became pretty unbearable for me around season 3. He doesn’t get any better, but he does get less intrusive (he’s pretty much been relegated to the sidelines for the last few seasons, so he’s a lot easier to ignore).

That I had my opinion changed by the facts is proof of confirmation bias? Care to run through that logic again?
