Holy cow, everyone was stupid in this episode. Even by Supergirl standards. Hell, they're almost down to Flash levels.

Yeah, this was about the weakest written episode overall… but I still don't know that I'd go as low as a C+. It was all made worth it by the Jane/Alba scene on the swing (just how many times now has a Jane/Alba or Jane/Xo/Alba scene been the highlight of the episode?).
Hey, if the Muppets get theatrical shorts, I demand Animaniacs shorts too.
Would it hurt for them to put at the TOP of the card in massive letters 'The 2017 Best Picture Winner Is…' or 'The 2017 Winner of Best Actress In A Leading Role Is…' ?
And the winner is Adele Dazeem!
And that affects how lazy it can be? Or even if you somehow think it's intentional: parody doesn't mean dumbing down what is inspiring it. That's the difference between 'Epic Movie' and 'Airplane!'.
Thanks; I picked that up from some of the other comments here. I don't think it was perhaps quite as well set up in the episode as it could have been for it to make sense in the moment (the reveal of the multiple Daisies[sic?] was doubled up with the reveal that the Daisy we'd been following wasn't an LMD, so for us…
But this is part of a conversation about transgender issues. It's not an invalid story, but it has a different meaning coming from a transgender person than from a cisgender person. Why? Because for a cisgender person, the man in the bathroom was unquestionably wrong by the standards of anyone on EITHER side of the…
No, I'm with Arundel, it wasn't clear. I had no expectations, but when she started talking about how she was, say, scolded for using the girls' bathroom it definitely seemed to indicate that these experiences were because she was transgender. Not that she herself needed to clarify more (they're her tweets, and…
See, I went in knowing the hype, and I was mostly very impressed. I had a few grievances, including the relationship between the two characters (I thought they were well developed fine as individuals, but the way Mia chased Seb despite him being a dick three successive times came across pretty MPDG-ish) and some…
I do think there are times (even in musicals) when the more mellow, low key approach is warranted… but it just doesn't match with the writing and the direction for most of this film, and it's right there in the opening number (which in all other respects is pretty terrific - I had a big grin on my face by the end, I…
I really wanted to love the film wholeheartedly, but the thing that really irked me and still does is the singing - not the songs, which are good, but how everyone (except John Legend) sounds like they're putting no effort into their performances. I was just dying for them to put some passion into their singing;…
Predictability gets a bad rap. Part of what often makes fiction seem predictable is just a story reaching the most satisfying conclusion (which is often easy to recognise because of the decades of film and television storytelling). The execution is what matters - I had called Fitz as the LMD last week, but that didn't…
Yeah, okay, I'll buy that, though I think it could have been better explained within the episode(s). Either way, though, it didn't actually detract from the episode for me; the emotion of each scene was perfectly calibrated throughout (and always well set up and justified), and that's what's important.
Yeah, I think that would make the most sense structurally - three or so episodes would seem to me the right length of time to spend in the Framework, with an episode to reacclimatise before a three-ish part finale dealing with Aida and the Russian. Buuuut it depends what kind of story they want to tell to finish the…
I can't tell if that was the 'LMD' finale and the final arc of the season will be about the Framework, or if that was the penultimate episode of 'LMD' and the Framework will just be one more episode before kicking off a new arc. I hope it's the former, although I don't know how they'd string that out for 7 episodes or…
Well I took that as being 4 LMDs in the base - although the shot this week of Fitz and Simmons confirming one to be an LMD would then have to be at fault. So, yeah, a mistake somewhere methinks. In fact I can think of a few nitpicks here (why so many Daisys? Was resurrecting LMayD part of Coulson's directive, and…
You know, I thought similar about the fourth one being fine… but yesterday I tried to watch it again (as it's on iPlayer) for the first time since its release, and… I couldn't get past the ten minute mark. It's just kind of… unpleasant. And it's unfunny in the way I found the first one unfunny (jokes replaced by loud…
I enjoyed this episode. I also thought it was a very clever way to defeat Mxy, using a bunch of information already laid out in the episode (some more subtly than others). I was convinced she was going to get there and go through with it, and would claim that Kltpzyxm was her middle name so he'd have to repeat it in…
McCartney was probably brought in to play the drums.
