I think Petra's psychological fallout will come in later episodes when the plot isn't the immediate priority. Like how Michael had a speedy emotional recovery in ep 1 of the season, saved for his breakdown in ep 2 (and possibly more to come). I mean, here we had Rafael apologising to Michael for contributing to his

I'm right with you on being bored. This show is trying to be grand and epic, but there's remarkably little substance. A repetitive plot point isn't interesting because it's drawn out over five minutes with sappy music drenched over it. Twists like Bernard revealed to be a robot would have been much more shocking 15

This show is a total mess when it comes to plots, but they're really getting a good handle on their characters. I wasn't sure if I could manage much more after the first episode or two this season, but it's proving itself to be very enjoyable, despite its flaws.

Fuck, that'd have been a great title. It surely can't be deliberate that they use the T-shirts prominently, when the 'I'm With Her' slogan didn't pop up until quite recently?

They are always on point with the Narrator. My favourite little touch remains the very, very start of the season when the Narrator began the recap with 'Finally!'. He gets us.

The pacing was pretty much perfect. The 'padding' (the youtube video at the end, arguably the song, etc) was all tied directly to the storyline, which filled out the other ~16/17 minutes comfortably. More please.

Oh yeah, biker is THE look (with the cowboy a close second). But they make the car work well both by itself and as an extension of Robbie's personality.

I remember feeling like s4 was retreading s1 the same way s3 was retreading s2. Then s6 came along and I knew just how much retreading they were capable of.

So you're saying a B for a very good episode of Westworld is okay, but a B for a very good episode of AoS is demeaning?

Again, I think that's where they've blended the look with the simpler (and more recognisable) skull shape. It's not clear in every shot, but you can see it in the promo image: https://i.kinja-img.com/gaw…

[Preface: I'm not a comics reader but I am a geek, so my info mainly comes from internet research; feel free to correct me, anyone.]

Hey, I love this show - it's probably my favourite comic-book show, and I'm watching most of them at the moment - but I think a B for this episode is pretty fair, because the show can do better. The setup struggled a bit, and both showing and telling is a valid criticism, plus the direction was dreadful. I'd call it

The problem is the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider is the perfect look - a simple skull on fire (on top of a standard leather jacket). Everything is kept simple, but put together in an awesome way. When they wanted to introduce a new Ghost Rider to the comics (in the form of Robbie Reyes) they wanted him to look different,

Ugh, Billy Gierhart's direction. So very bad. This show's writing might be at its best in four years but it is being ruined by shitty execution. From weird angles, to swapping at random between handheld and static shots, to editing so each shot only lasts one or two seconds before moving onto another unnecessary angle

I'd like to pick you up on something - Rachel McAdams isn't playing a love interest (in the typical sense); she's an ex-lover. Their relationship is more friendly than anything else (when they part before the climax she kisses him on his cheek, not on his lips). If they can stick to this, it will be pretty unique for

It's one of those statements that can be interpreted in a number of ways… I tend to be very wary of those statements ;) But yeah, there's a lot of possibilities for what we're seeing here regarding the timelines. I'm inclined to think there are indeed two timelines… but I don't think they're thirty years apart. I
