Personally I'm sticking with the idea that Cat is flustered by Clark not because he's actually a hunk but because she is really attracted to him because of his journalistic skills.

Presumably she means the reveal (ie. first visuals) of her in action, so that it comes in her titular film rather than in the ensemble piece where there's going to be 4582 other characters to share screen time with.
I still liked him a lot of the time, but he certainly wasn't immune to whatever was making the cast unfunny as the show went on.
(Scrubs isn't alone in this, of course - lots of comedies, if they last long enough, will suffer this, as the characters become reliable archetypes and the actors lean into that. But it…
While I still watched it through to the end (and enjoyed a lot more of it than many), almost every main character had a turning point into 'routinely unbearable', usually from the actor trying waaaaaaay too hard to be funny. JD was the first, becoming grating from pretty much the start of season 2. Elliot hit it…
To be honest, I can see them getting there through systemic racism rather than focused racism. Like if you follow through how they determined the characters from the colours (making a lot of very 90s connections):
Red male ranger = leader (not much they could do about that)
Pink female ranger = girly girl (because pink)
B…
To ensure fairness of product placement in the news, it should be noted that other mints are also available for use after committing sexual assault.
I actually just watched the original film this evening; Taylor's lot arrive about 2000 years after they left. Assuming in the new continuity Taylor's ship left before the outbreak circa 2011, that still means a long time before there needs to be a truly dominant ape race (assuming they're aiming towards a variation on…
Well the volunteers weren't actually needed, Tahani just thought it would be a good thing for the community. As for the flying… meted out awesome moments are more gratifying than constant ones? But yeah, there's definitely more going on.
It can indeed. I imagine that if you wanted your dishes magically washed up for you in The Good Place you'd probably get that, but I can imagine Chidi seeing it as an essential part of existing.
You're probably right; I'm sure the writers have something in mind, it just crossed my mind that if I was writing it then a backstory set in Africa would be trickier to pull off in the format than 'American is a dick to her friends', 'American is a failed DJ' or 'Brit is belittled by her family'.
I was thinking that in this episode, largely because I was wondering if we'd see how Tahani died, and how it'd be pretty bleak to see how all these ~30 year olds died.
Chidi flashbacks will be comparatively tricky to portray. Born in Nigeria, raised in Senegal… anything taking place there will be tough to portray sensitively (and sensitivity isn't something most lighthearted sitcoms want to worry about, particularly when the flashbacks so far have been pretty exaggerated). Plus it's…
Chidi (and the 'real' Eleanor, if there is one?) probably like doing the dishes to an extent. He only stopped to make the point to Eleanor.
I am very much liking this show right now, but they're going to have to introduce some new characters to break up the dynamics. Most of the A material is between Eleanor and Chidi, which leaves most of the B material to Michael and Tahani (and Janet). It looks like they'll break that a bit next week by putting Eleanor…
That's still just about the individual film, though, not its effect on the franchise. TFA has done the Star Wars franchise a lot of good, arguably more so than the prequels (although they had been picking up from a 16 year gap rather than a 9 year simmer, so all they had to do was exist, which they certainly did :P )
It did revitalize the franchise. Not just because of $2billion dollars in takings, or the massively positive response from both critics and audiences, but also because it brought in new creators and characters, increased diversity and representation, ushered in new interest in all facets of the Star Wars universe, all…
I watched about 20 minutes of it, but he had yet to start talking about the film, so I gave up.
I was just wondering why Ollie thinks there will be no repercussion to criticising the entire police force as the Mayor. If he had least included a 'while we rout out the corruption in the SCPD' I might have understood, but he basically just said 'Yeah, the police aren't going to be any use. These few guys are the…
Yeah, he may have oversimplified it but a significant number of projects even today are aimed at a specific demographic - perhaps divided by gender, or by race, or by age or even background. Part of art and entertainment (for me, anyway) is that it's something being sent from the creator to the audience; this can be…
Damn, these alt-versions bring out the best in the actors. Wally was entertaining! In a lot of ways! For the right reasons! Beautiful delivery between him and Caitlin on 'Have I been kidnapped?' '…Unclear.' Here's hoping they bring out some of that in mark 1 Wally from hereon in.
