That would be hilarious if your source didn't also list the number of episodes (295, well over double Sunny's output to date) :P

True, but 'ever' still retains its meaning.

Sunny is more of an extended stabbing, but that somehow qualified ;)

And if the article had specified that then I wouldn't have brought attention to it :P As it is, though, it comes across as a very narrow view of art and entertainment when 'ever' only includes American productions.

"FXX renewed It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia for two more seasons last spring, which will make the show the longest-running live-action comedy series (in a tie with The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet) ever"

It's not the greatest sitcom ever, but it was definitely underrated - it's a charming, enjoyable show with good characters and, above anything, a positive feel. It's a shame it didn't get to conclude properly (especially as Garcia had what sounds like the perfect ending in mind). One more season would have done it.

How are they pronouncing Overwatch?

Crap. Ah well, thanks for pointing that out.

Nah, I'll take the South Park with superheroes, wizards, PC Principal and splendid satire any day. (That said, the odd appearance of Santa or Jesus wouldn't go amiss…)

People do cite that as the worst episode… but honestly I enjoyed it the most in series 2. I think because it was the only one that felt like it had a sense of humour, more like the first series. The first episode of s2 just felt like a dirge, and half of the second episode was mind-numbingly boring (the twist was good

I love your analogy of it being a cover version - after all, the best known Unchained Melody is The Righteous Brothers' version; it wasn't the original, but it's the definitive one.

But that's the thing with remakes: there's already at least one out there. You have to make it to be the 'definitive' one or consign it to be the 'other' one. With all the cameos, references and lifted plot points, this year's 'Ghostbusters' was already trapping itself as the 'other' one. The original Magnificent

Did you not understand my point, or did you genuinely think this year's Ghostbusters, Ben Hur or The Magnificent Seven had a chance of becoming the definitive films with those titles?

It's true that the best remakes are the ones that utilise wasted potential from the previous iteration. A good rule of thumb is: If your film isn't going to be the definitive version, don't make it (particularly if you're keeping the same name). This year's Ghostbusters was never going to replace the original, so it

It depends how lenient you are with the concept of 'jokes'.

I wondered if the way to do this would be to release the costume as is but include with it a little booklet about the character and his appearance, particularly explaining why the tattoos are so important to him and the culture. I was thinking of it a bit like those disclaimers included at the start of old

There's a lot of comedies at the moment which try to make conversations about sex funny without actually putting in anything funny - this was not one of them. I was unsure about the tone of the show at the start, but it was evident there was intelligent writing there, and I'm so glad I pushed through it. Great stuff.

Yeah, she has the grace, the refinement, the singing voice, the- wait…

Well, I'm in for a good few more episodes.
