The Spice Girls were utterly shameless, and God knows what I'd have thought of them if I'd been an adult at the time, but I was a dumb kid who bopped along to their music (even being the wrong demographical gender, I had no objections to listening to their songs, because they were fun). As an adult today, though… I

I've always felt that Harley Quinn is one of the few characters where a sexualised approach is hard to criticise, because she does use it as a weapon. It's a strong argument that she might dress that way to wield power over men (and women), and she would be shameless in doing so because, well, she's Harley Quinn.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Do you do private functions? You've genuinely made my day.

This is hilarious. 'Intelligence to comprehend the plot'… Of FROZEN! Ha! You go ahead and live in your daydream world, I'm going to stick to discussions with people with a grasp on reality.

How can you not say it's stupid when the consequences are right there in the movie? Literally the entire plot is the result of the parents' bad decisions, and no one holds them accountable for them.

You're trolling, right? Locking up your daughter for years isn't a fucking stupid decision? Seriously, How It Should Have Ended covered this. You need to look inwards before making judgements on how another person receives a film.

I maintain I didn't actually hate the movie on first viewing, I just never engaged with it, largely due to the shoddy attention to character right from the start. The parents make bloody stupid decisions - actually, that's putting it mildly - and the film never calls them out on it all, partly because they die early

Yeah, but that's because Frozen is a TERRIBLE exploration of sisterhood. Who's watching that film and going 'Yeah, my sister inexplicably stopped talking to me for years despite living under the same roof all that time, but then we bonded over chocolate. This movie speaks to so many of us.'

Exactly. Besides, 'Trump' already means 'Fart', why not leave it at that?

I bet Abed is thrilled with this news.

It was a holdover from 80s films.

I've noticed some characters over the last few years get thinned to either heterosexual or homosexual - perhaps because of sexual politics, perhaps because it's considered easier to understand people who have a 'type'. Some characters, like Constantine, get portrayed as straight, while characters like Jack Harkness

My initial thought was that perhaps Takei felt this was a slight against his acting ability, that others might feel that he couldn't play 'straight'. Either way I don't think he's wrong to feel invested in the details of a character he put a lot of effort and passion into, but I do think the production is right to do

Do people not know the word 'bisexual'? What's the problem with both Prime Sulu and Kelvin Sulu being bisexual? Is there anything - ever - that contradicts that?

Allegedly that role was initially developed for McCarthy, but she was swapped to a calmer, more intelligent role because Patty was considered too close to some of her recent work. So I don't think it was deliberate, just that it was thoughtless. It does seem like at any point in the development and casting stages they

Great finale. Only a few duff elements - I'm disappointed that Piscatella turned so cartoonish by the last two episodes. A character who had his own warped sense of nobility at the start of the season turned into a flat villain by the end (much like Healy in season 1). True, he never considered the inmates more than

Ah, Pukwudgie, already the Hufflepuff of America.

Was that a deliberate plug for Galavant or did you just misspell the verb?

Exactly, and while it might not have made a huge difference, the Remain side didn't need a huge difference to win. But it's better to have moral superiority than to actually talk to those on the other side (despite the fact that those two aren't mutually exclusive). There are many things splitting the country, but at

Indeed. I voted Remain, but the self-righteousness of many I've seen on the news and in social media from that side has only alienated those on the other side. While both sides are guilty of not listening enough to the other side, I've seen far too much spite from the Remain side aimed squarely at those who voted
