i was actually excited when i clicked this article and discovered it wasnt a slideshow. somehow made monday suck a little less.

If I were Jenkins I wouldn’t care how they settled on me to direct the movie.  The last one made a billion dollars, so this may be the biggest payday opportunity he ever gets.  No one’s going to fault him for it.

(we have to assume Axel F” is a reference to the Crazy Frog classic)

I doubt they’d do it this way but they have enough of a following that they could put something out themselves.

Between Boogie Nights, Bowfinger, and The Hangover, it’s clear Graham does her best work playing sex-industry workers.

So we could’ve gotten to see Drew hang prosthetic dong?

Why, it’s almost like an entertainment website is trying to be amusing and meta in regards to the death of a character in a popular cartoon. Weird!!!

Kudos for taking that metaphor and stroking it for all it was worth.

Have Nathan return playing Asher’s older brother, Gad.

The first season was one of the best arguments for weekly drops as opposed to the “dropping it all at once” model IMO, because it not only let so many viewers get on board, I was genuinely anticipating the final episode, days out. And then for that last half of the episode to just... go there. *chef’s kiss*

Yeah he really strikes me as the sort who is high on his own supply, but the supply is pretty good. I find myself at the ends of most of his movies going “Damn, he kinda did it again.” Maybe he could tell that special “it” was going to be missing from this.

Fair enough. And Breaking Bad barely got made in its own era. AMC took a shot on it after everyone else passed.

Nailed it xD

Spoken like someone who doesn’t want to see Jon Voight’s erection.

As someone who can’t stand him, this works for me.

if there ever was a director who would have a fun redbox era…

Yeah I agree with all your points. It was great to binge this one but a few days later I noticed that I remember very little of it (and I was not multitasking) and that I actually binged it to “get it out of the way” and... and because binge is the only metric that matters to streamers to consider their show a success.

Maybe next season will have weekly drops. I’ve read a lot of chatter about how this deserved HBO-levels of prestige, including not dumping it all at once. Give viewers a chance to absorb what they just watched, and some time to talk about it with each other before the next episode!

I think Domhnall Gleeson is a really interesting performer and I kind of don’t want to see him relegated to a sitcom for years. (Assuming this will basically be “Another Office”.) He was a bit wasted in the Star Wars sequels.
