I’ve gotta be honest: I think Ed Sheeran in Yesterday is one of the few actually funny examples of “Celebrity playing themselves in a movie” that I’ve seen. When “Shape of You” starts playing, and it reveals that Ed Sheeran’s ringtone was HIS OWN SONG, it was genuinely incredible.

I thought of this around a year ago, and I was reminded of it on Sunday when I watched the 30 year anniversary rerelease in theaters: if they ever made a Jurassic Park lego game (which they apparently have not, only for Jurassic World), after the T-Rex destroys the toilet the Lawyer is hiding in, they totally should

I literally listened to a podcast about Happy Gilmore yesterday, and they were talking about his scene. RIP.

Now playing

The freeze frame and proceeding scene is genuinely one of the funniest moments in any television show.

Every shot of this trailer looks like it was AI Generated.

I’m pretty adamant on the “Kendall doesn’t kill himself” train. I don’t think he’s having a good time post-finale, but I think he’s the type of guy to try to ‘man up’ and try to fail in a new way over anything else.

You’re right. And guess what? It still rules!

Don’t lump Mission Impossible in with the other ones!

Yeah, I can understand feeling conflicted about making a rom-com when it can feel limiting to women. But also, and hopefully it doesn’t undermine what she’s saying: Starstruck is really good! Very funny show! There is a scene set to ‘Return of the Mack’ in the first season that is hilarious! You should watch it!

Sorry, but it’s actually ‘Raphael is cool but rude (give me a break!)‘

I know, right? It’s like ‘Just step on me already!’

From what I’ve seen, chuds hate it because a woman is in it. Even worse, it’s a funny woman!

I’ve seen a fair amount of buzz around it. I have a lot of friends who are interested in seeing it, and as AimingforYoko pointed out, the marketing is great. Of course, that is anecdotal, but I don’t think there is any other way to determine that.

Lying down to watch 10 episodes of TV = self discipline?

If you want to watch them all at once, then watch them all at once.

I am hardcore in the “weekly release” camp. I just have way more fun watching each episode weekly than I do with binging shows. This past season of Succession was great, because every episode felt huge. I started watching it in between seasons 3 and 4, and the first three seasons were good, but I never loved it.

David Zaslav led the charge, driven by our shared love of storytelling, to bring us together for a project about which we are so passionate.”

That really sucks. Such a genuinely funny show. A lot of the premise of the show does make sense now - self-loathing comedians wrote a show about people desperate for fame and recognition while losing sight of what they originally wanted. It could have been seen as self-parody, but now it seems like self-pity. At

A cynical love for every genre they make fun of.

One of the funniest shows airing on TV. The line about it being a spiritual successor to 30 Rock is something I’ve thought about a lot lately. Something about it’s ‘anything for a laugh, acute industry satire, occasionally very unlikeable characters’ vibe just hits that spot for me. Also the fact that it was created
