The company is by far the biggest it’s ever been with the biggest game in the world still making hundreds of millions, also having one of the most popular engines on the market, and even their store is getting some traction and people are making use of it.

I could totally be wrong but I believe Tim Sweeney owns 51% of the company so it can't be sold unless he chooses to sell it.

K I actually think Stadia has a ton of potential, but this monetization model of paying $10 a month so you can then buy games at retail price is just dumb. Nobody who owns a console/PC will pay the costs for a laggy gaming experience and nobody who doesn’t own a console/PC will be willing to instead pay $10 a month in

You’re saying the GPS data is inaccurate?

Mid-November is kinda a crappy time to release a GPS game, though. I live in Montreal and I ain’t going for walks any time soon.

Hey Mike, hope you’re doing well man. Hopefully someday you’ll get to sit in a cute pink chair with whatever hot new franchise is out there.

In terms of books, I've been reading the Captain Underpants books with my nieces. They love them. They're reading the books I grew up reading and that just warms my heart so much.

I mean like, no one is making you buy anything, dude. Overwatch has been receiving free updates for over three years now and will continue to receive them with the release of OW2. I have 300 hours in Overwatch and haven't spent a penny after that initial purchase, I don’t know what you’re complaining about.

I feel like Overwatch 2 is coming in 2020, don't think it'll be long. It seems more on the scale of an expansion rather than a whole new game.

I don't think Blizzard plans on really pushing the story so much. I feel like it's in the same boat as 40k in that "Here's the universe, here's the situation it's in" and they just build more on the universe without ever really pushing the situation forward. And I think that's ok.

Overwatch is 100% a live ops game. It released over three years ago and has been receiving regular fixes and content updates since. I don't know where you got this idea that a live ops gave must be an RPG.

That's a shame. Dunno what to say, dude.

    Thanks man, appreciate the answer!

Eh, it’s an ongoing game that gets regular patches and updates and they do have systems to promote playing every day (First win of the game) in addition to timed limited events (the Halloween event ongoing right now).

Just for curiosity sake which two were you playing? The one I play is Overwatch.

John Romero once gave a presentation about Doom’s development. During the Q&A period someone asked “How did Id handle source control in 1993?”

    His answer?

“We didn’t. We all just told each other what files we were working on and everyone would know not to make any changes to that file. When someone finished implementing

Haven’t made anything commercial. I've worked as a programmer on non - gaming software and made a bunch of smaller projects. Been applying around to games companies lately since I got laid off from my last job and graduated from my game dev program.

Gonna disagree with “Play the current hot thing”, play whatever the hell you'd like regardless of age. Your friends'll always be down to talk about a good game they like regardless of age.

I’ve seen a few of those online, you can for sure commission an artist to make one.

Got it custom made, haha! Unfortunately the cloth at elbows are completely torn apart at this point. Might need to make another.
