In this case, the commercial marketing people are doing their job at 110%. I would guess that some of the people who watch Hallmark movies probably have a pet or two.
I remember getting a free trial of NBC’s early streaming service (I forget the name of it) but during 30 Rock they’d had commercials for animal shelters, a woman who lost her fingers and toes due to diabetes and smoking... EVERY FREAKING BREAK!
I pay for my ad free streaming services and it pisses me off to no end when I have to look at “ads” promoting the service’s own shows.
I use Spectrum, the $50 is their starting plan. The interweb speed is 300 mbps (200 mbps in NY) which works for me :)
Yes, I used Optimum Cable in NY for years before canceling the TV portion of it back in 2009. I got calls, letters, and people at my door asking how they could bring me back as a TV customer. Before cancelling it altogether in 2023 to move to SC, I was paying $100+, just for Internet.
As a member of Gen X, I don’t mind commercials because that’s how it was during the 70's and 80's and we liked it! When we got cable in the 80's, we had to get our snacks and drinks before the movie started (especially if it was a premiere showing) or run to the kitchen during a well known scene.
Thank you for the suggestions!

Fritos would be closer to masa harina than Doritos, they even have a chili cheese flavor!
I’ll use instant potatoes and in my experience it’s better to add a tablespoon and stir to see how it thickens before adding more.
Since 2019, that last one has become pointless.
This is an appropriate response
This reminds me of using Twizzlers as a straw.
It’s from the movie Cocoon. It’s about a group of older people who go to outer space... hope I didn’t give anything away there.
The Dean would convert part of the campus into one.
She comes off as tough most of the time but when she breaks down and lets her emotions out, that is the real Willie Jack.
