A “leaner and more productive government,” you say? How’s that “productive government” been working out for ya so far? You know, the one that looks like the cast of Benny Hill every time the President tweets something because they’re so short-staffed, they can’t even come to a consensus on what the official response

Pretty sure it released before Homeworld 2, even though HW2 doesn’t really reference it in any way other than to acknowledge Kith Somtaaw.

This is probably the best use of that joke, ever.

Her: “I still see, like, a young professional-slash-weekend warrior. With the whole, like, ‘business in the front, party in the back.’”

Me: “A mullet. You just described a mullet.”

Assuming I did my math right, that’s $435.5 million after 8 years, just in travel, if he continues at this rate.

I was erring on the side of being ‘generous’ to the previous poster since I didn’t have those numbers readily at hand. So, kudos :)

“Most of which came in the past 8 years,” huh? Selective memory is a beautiful thing; Obama sure as hell didn’t *help* the deficit or the national debt, but he increased the deficit about as much as Bush did before him.

I’ve sensed a great disturbance in the Force, as if a bellowing loudmouth from a distant city suddenly cried out, “Challenge accepted.” He’ll have Bush beat by this time next month. It’s about the only skillset he has any competence in.

I didn’t like him at first, but he’s definitely grown on me. He’s also gotten a lot better since he started. It was clear he wasn’t quite comfortable in the role when he took over.

I’m pretty sure those last three are behavioral, rather than genetic. But, bless the hearts of all those people out there that keep believing that a seventy year old man will eventually start acting ‘more presidential!’ Seventy year old men are well known for getting more socially flexible and tolerant, and less

Normally, this would be my response too, but I’m starting to think that it’s come time to take a page out of VonClownstick’s own‘anti-terrorism’ book and start fighting fire with fire. Because he’s shown an impressive resilience to logic, facts, and evidence to this point, maybe the only solution is to launch a 24/7

I didn’t miss the point. The point simply wasn’t applicable to this topic. If you’d said, instead, that it was like insisting that 2+2=7, then I’d have agreed completely, as that is a scenario that is readily demonstrated to be false. What you’re talking about is something very different, reliant more upon

Groovy, Jimmy. I look forward to reading your doctoral thesis and seeing you accept a Nobel for your incredible insight and unimpeachable grasp of alternate-physics. With such a magnificent and impressive IQ, you’re sure to make lead fry-cook in no time. You just hang in there, kiddo!

Go *outside* and look for yourself, ‘dummy.’ Seriously, what is with you people telling *me* that it’s not true when *I* am telling *you* that all you need to do is look up to see it for yourself? No telescope, no equipment, no subscription fee, you don’t need to subscribe to my YouTube channel, or pay for a college

Is that actually true? I’ve seen images from a satellite, but not from a scope. The surface is so damned reflective that it’s blinding even with a modest 10-inch reflector, it seems to me that it’d be damned hard to cut the glare down with a filter while still maintaining enough angular resolution to make those tiny

God help you! That’s an excellent approach. Two days of arguing with greys on Gizmodo on the “Shaq flat earth” article has made me seriously reconsider the money and time I’ve spent on my physics degree.

1) Yes, really. 2) Size isn’t the important part, reflectivity is the important part. When the sun, the satellite, and you on the ground are at the proper angles, the solar panels (and to a lesser extent, the body of the satellite) reflect sunlight directly to you. 3) It’s mostly just a glare moving across the sky,

Since you seem to be more rational than the other greys that have been arguing with me about this; yes, actually, ‘reflection’ is precisely the key. I own my own amateur telescope and see 3 or 4, minimum, every single time I take it out. Just like a rainbow, it all depends on viewing angle, so you need to be out

This last couple days has *really* made me re-think all the time and cash I’ve spent trying to wrap up my physics degree. I should have just stuck with making it all up, it would have been way cheaper and apparently just as effective.

I can NOT believe how many grey morons are trying to argue about this. I see satellites every single time I take my telescope out to the park, but yeah, *I* am the one that is brainwashed. I’m really re-thinking all the cash I’ve spent so far for my degree, if THIS is the world that awaits me when I’m done.
