Where is the love for Garfunkel and Oates?! After Broad City and You're the Worst, it was my favorite comedy of the year. Come on.

Hmm, I loved Broad City when it was airing and then I fell for Garfunkel and Oates. I wonder if my enthusiasm for Broad City will be colored now by G&O.
Everything But The Girl have a fantastic cover of "My Head Is My Only House Unless It Rains". It says a lot about the musical ability of both Captain Beefheart and EBTG that the cover works, since it's hard to imagine more two more diametrically opposed artists.
No mention of my favorite line in the episode? Nelson after seeing the fake ID, "We could rent a carpet shampooer!"
Maybe my favorite Simpsons joke ever.
I like M.I.A.'s music a lot, but when I learned that the father of her child is Benjamin Bronfman, heir to the Seagram's fortune, I realized her politics were full of shit.
Oh how I love Silver Jews, far more than Pavement. I love David Berman's world weary vocals. The lyrics are heartbreaking and hilarious in about equal measure. Unfortunately I didn't start listening to them until almost the exact moment they called it quits.
I was hoping we would finally see Ringling Brothers for Brothers, The Greatest Show on Earf, in the fourth season.
If the world were anywhere near a just and righteous place, The Wedding Present would have been at least as popular as The Smiths. They are criminally overlooked, especially in America.
Happy Endings reruns start tomorrow on VH-1, bitches!
I'm in the middle of reading Ford Madox Ford's Parade's End, a book I've been meaning to get to for years. It's a bit of a slog, but quite rewarding as well.
I've read My Antonia twice, the 2nd time after learning that Willa Cather was a lesbian. Knowing that adds a second layer of meaning to the entire novel and makes reading it a much richer experience.
In Columbus all of the over the air stations have added second channels that broadcast series from prior to 1980 almost exclusively. I'm guessing this is the case in most major cities as well. With the help of my DVR, I've been binge watching Alfred Hitchcock Presents and The Burns and Allen Show. I recommend both…
Oh Coleman Francis. The dance party scene with the Scotsman and the giant woman in The Skydivers may be my favorite moment of the entire series.
I was always partial to the social problem films: High School Big Shot, I Accuse My Parents etc. I also use the word hinder solely because of MST3K.
He also hosted Star Soccer on PBS, so he is responsible for my love of the game. RIP.
Sylvia Plath's "Daddy" is chilling and I love "Prufrock", but I think my favorite poem is Theodore Roethke's "I Knew a Woman." It's so playful that it always makes me smile.
top 20 (in no order):
Follow Neko on Twitter. She's hilarious and really down to earth.
True story: My mother-in-law's father was religious and forbade The Lawrence Welk Show in his home because it combined dancing and, because of the champagne bubbles, alcohol.
