I was expecting something low-class, unsubtle and exploitative with cheap, slap-dash technical credits and a no-name cast. Colour me surprised when none of the above was fulfilled.

I already had great admiration for Tony Tilse's visual flair and narrative snap from his Farscape days and this episode only goes to proove he hasn't lost anything of his touch. This episode rocked.

Say what one might may about George's writing skills, Star Wars (A New Hope) was still a character driven piece played out against delicious eye candy. Here, you got gobs of what is now routine eye candy interrupted by interchangeable mouthpieces spouting prosaic pablum.

That was a blast. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

I couldn't get past the first 20 mins. of the first ep on account of the dreadful writing and pandering to the male gaze, and this sounds even less promising.

So…Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers meets World War Z it is then.

Sluggish and pedantic, but it was all worth it just to get to watch Alfre Woodward be her totally awesome creative self.

Solid ep. Annalise is her usual commanding self; Nate is ripped beyond measure (sadly, not HBO, so no bare ass shot); Connor and Oliver are affecting, but I get the sneaky feeling Oliver is playing a part scripted by Annalise. But it was Amy Madigan's performance which was the highlight of this installment.
