In the John Oliver/Seth Meyers era it seems genuinely surprising to see a routine like Fey's, where we're not supposed to be certain that she's telling us the unvarnished truth. The "let them eat cake" reference might have given it away, but it's basically an observational bit where she and her behavior are part of

That's just a rumor. From the outside it sure looks suspicious that Marvel killed their Quicksilver after Fox decided they were going to use their own version, but we don't know for sure (Whedon did claim there was an alternate ending where he lived, but we've never seen it).

What still pisses me off more than anything else is the retcon of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch into not being mutants or Magneto's children. When it happened, I thought it was stupid but at least it probably meant Marvel had plans for them. But the characters are still the only MCU characters banned from most games,

The premise of "Pat" was based on a reality, that people get really uncomfortable if they don't know what gender someone is, and that it's very socially awkward to ask someone what gender they are.
