Are we talking about ‘good driver’ as someone that follows all the rules of the road or as someone who really knows how to control their car at the limits?

Chevy needs to bring back the BBS mesh wheels for the Camaro.

Why couldn’t Jalopnik shell out $160 for a pair of these and write up a review instead of repeating manufacturer promises?

This reminds me of the Tango & Cash truck.

I think it’s sometimes lost how much the ‘94 Ram upended the entire USDM truck market. Prior to that truck, concepts for pickups and pickup-based SUVs were going for a smoother look, more flowing and carlike... Post-Ram, it was all about brash, burlinesss, scaled-down big rigs for the everyday Joe.

My old 1988 Mazda 323 GTX had a similar feature on the optional ‘digital dash’. Below the fuel gauge there’s a button labeled “SCALE CHANGE”. Press it, and the fuel gauge would switch to showing the last 1/4 tank across the full LCD display. So when you get down to the last two bars on the gauge, you can press the

My 2018 Sportwagen is Tornado Red. True, it was the only one on the lot with other black and white models.

Neat but it’s a shame GM never showed the world the potential of the Blackwing engine (good or bad potential). Like, shove that motor into the DPi Cadillacs and let’s see how well it does while abused for 24+ hours!

These comments are silly. The Blackwing engine was just not all that exciting and more difficult to integrate because of the hot-v setup, that’s why it’s dead. The name is still cool, though. If you’re giving me the choice of the 4.2 liter, twin turbo “Blackwing” engine making 500hp and the supercharged 6.2 liter LT4

Could always put in a fake clutch pedal with a stout spring..

If it weren’t for PB Blaster, I’d have to walk to the store.

So... I’m guessing you have never filed for a patent...

“Last affordable, manual dedicated sports car” can’t be a true statement. There is and always will be the Miata. Also, the new GT86 and BRZ can be had with a manual.

I did not know that was a thing, and you get a star both for the information and for absolute correctness.  Wow.

Everyone needs to stop being weird about old people.

Old cars had single circuit master cylinders until the mid-late 1960's. ALL cars have dual circuit now - one loop of hydraulic fluid pipes for the front, a different, totally separate one for the rear, in case one fails.

A friend of mine referred to Quadrajets as “Quadrajunks”, but all my cars so equipped ran fine. On a related note, I’ll add “spreadbore” as another obsolete carburetor term.

I’m just freaked out that I’m lusting after a Pontiac Phoenix.

If I remember correctly, “Gatorbacks” were an actual model of tire made by Goodyear back in the 80's. They were called Goodyear Eagle GT Gatorbacks, and they were considered very desirable by the IROC-Z Mustang GT crowd when I was in high school.

Sad, I use the terms meats if I see a muscle car with “steam rollers” for rear tires, I’m an old.
