It took a grand ol’ while to get going. I think the best time I had with it was with some decent sports stuff (NHL and Pro Evo were good on it), Skyrim, and Virtua Fighter 5 (best.game.ever). Definitely appreciated the PS2 way more (JRPG’s and fighters along).

Trinitrons and Bravia’s are solid, but haven’t had a good time with many of Sony’s other the products.

Dunno what to tell ya. Only had that problem with Sony products. Bar my camera and TV, they’re still going strong.

Never had to buy any other console more than once, others just needed some replacement pieces (battery for Saturn, power cord for NES). I also needed to buy a second PSP.

Yup, I bought one at full price, launch. Broke within a year.

Went through 3 PS3's, I think... maybe 4. Sony’s consoles tend to do that (2 PS1's, 3PS2's)...

So, how much of this is actually down to Riot? Are they acting like the FA in this kinda situation?

Neato, Yamazaki is always pretty fun to play.

Yup, this was also a spinoff, too:

It was about par for the course for ultra-violent anime of the late 80's early 90's, which was all demons, sex and gore, some off the back of Urotsukidoji due it being unreasonably popular (it’s crap...). And you had similar Go Nagai crap, like Violence Jack, too.

Bit too crisp and clean, Berserk had the same issue.

Not live action dubs! *screams wildly*

Early adopters are always guinea pigs.

December would suck, with a bunch of people trying to get online at the same time during a period where companies would be short handed due to applicable regions taking holidays. No one would want that.

For your infrastructure question - releasing it now, into a live environment that they cannot simulate in test and development, allows them to fix what needs to be before the major sales period.

It’s not from a product perspective, a noise perspective. Right now, they don’t have to complete with MS and Sony for that media coverage.

There would be issues with online regardless. So getting that out before the large sale periods is important. That requires some real use. Nintendo don’t have the chops to build a reliable online system in a development environment alone, and don’t look like they’ll adopt Alpha and Beta releases like someone like

I don’t think it was needless.

I dunno how much it will.

Bummer.
