LA also has historical venues (that have hosted previous olympic games) that will likely see refurbishment in the meantime, whether or not the games come to LA, and when.

There haven’t been _any_ slaves in America for 150 years. Anything after that wasn’t slavery. It may have been oppression and persecution, but many other groups faced the same targeted adversity over that same time period, some even more recently.

Who gets to define hate speech? If I’m offended by something you say does that mean I get to call your speech hate speech? Not everyone has the same point of view, and not everyone considers the same things hateful, in-fact, many many people believe the exact opposite things are hateful.

Not sure if you’ve heard of Prof Charles Spence, at Oxford, who’s studying this very thing and how expectations can be setup from one sense (vision in this case) can influence the perception of other senses.

What about cleaning and maintenance of the in-space HAB between uses? Would that need to be done by a permanent crew on the HAB or by intermittent launches of a cleaning crew?
