Datto didn’t use the glitch and was 551, Ehroar (member of the first team) did and was about 555. Not a huge advantage.

But it isn’t. There is a crap tonne to do and I have been doing it all both with a clan and solo. Don’t write off what could possibly be the best DLC in Destiny’s history because of one salty bean.
You do realise that simplifying the game and giving everybody everything is what killed Destiny 2 at the beginning. Pandering to the players who wanted everything easy mode killed the game in the beginning. End game players need something to keep them going and streamers need something interesting to stream. And now…
“Bungie apologizes and promises to be more transparent in the future”...again. This is promise of transparency is starting to feel like a weekly issuing of hollow promises.
I played the living hell out of it on PS4 and then on an high end PC (both with controller). The difference in game play is night and day in my opinion. It feels so damn good on PC.
I would say buy it and play it. It’s fun and there is a fair bit to do. Not only that it feels way better on PC. But for players like myself, who happily put 2.6k hrs into D1, there just isn’t anything left to do. And the fact that they removed trails (my reason for playing) means I’ve had to stop playing.
In Destiny 2 they took away the weapon and armour grind, all for the sake of making Bungos life easier when it comes to balancing. All you are left with is the level grind. How long can that last? Like you say it’s been 2 weeks and I feel I am at the point it took me 2.5 yrs in Destiny 1 to achieve.
Encountering people in this corner made me never go into the dark zone again, which shortly after made me put down the game.
fimi_sheikh is the kind of guy to tea bag his own fans and block any negative publicity so all that is seen is the positive, he is the bad side of the destiny community, he is what we commonly refer to as a douchbag.
And VOG is still a hoot, if you can find anyone to do it that is.
Completely agree with your view, just patch it and move on. Leave the people be who took advantage of Massive’s mistake. If they punish those who did they are just going to loose more of a player base than they already have. At the end of the day it’s not like they were hacking or conning Massive out of anything.
I still play the game loads, unfortunately my friends list doesn’t. The “no matchmaking” may drive me into exile too.
Welcome to the ranks.
