Played PSU:AotI. I had PSU since release, played the single-player game, payed for a multiplayer license and played maybe a week before shelfing it, even selling the game later without even bothering to have the subscription canceled. So since then, I've given a lot of free money to Sega. Found it cheap, so I decided

@iNime: No, this is an image.

Ah, angry "feminists"...

@Playstation: But cutscenes are not a neutral, just-as-good-as-any-other method of storytelling in videogames for the vast majority of people. Of course, I know not everyone's tastes are the same; personally I still play interactive fiction and games with ASCII graphics despite them being inferior to games with actual

@Playstation: Now this is only an example, but if a a company was producing a game called: "Turd in a box" (probably Acclaim, they fit the profile), and claimed everywhere that their game would have the best turd ever, and that turd-fans would be delighted by how perfect their turd is going to be.

And now the pattern continues.

Until then you could, I don't know, just get the book?

@Polite_Society: The problem is that this sounds all good on paper, but how seamless do you think it will be?

The German tax-shelter incentive is in no way a loophole, there are no sources anywhere on the internet that actually DESCRIBE the alleged loophole. It's simply carried along from blog to person to blog without anyone being able to explain anything about it.

@digipen89: Actually, Uwe hasn't written the scripts to his previous films. Postal is the first one he actually (co-)wrote.

@Fryfat: A 500$ PC is not future proof; it won't be able to play much of anything a year and half from now.

I want to pick this up, but quite frankly I hate playing games out of sequence, and I've barely made it to the SECOND level of Ninja Gaiden Black. I wouldn't play NG2 until I'm done with NGB, which I'm not sure I will EVER finish.

@homerjay: You forgot the golden rule of trombone!

@Hankus: Exactly. This is why tools that do the conversion shouldn't be advertised too much to users, as they might end up relying on PDFs for jobs that really shouldn't.

I suppose this is part of why Halo was so popular; it's quite colorful for a FPS.

@Candlejack: I'm saying that there are better looking games than Uncharted out now on the 360 (and PS3) that clearly show that this is not by any means a necessity.

@slomo788: Actually, I'm not dismissing MGS4. As I said previously, I buy my consoles on the games they actually have, and if/when the PS3 ends up with a reasonably big library of AAA titles, I'll gladly buy one, with MGS4, install or no install.

@Setzer IIDX: True, but the thing is that following the storyline and actually playing it much like it was intended, GTA 4 is not really any more violent than the average game or movie involving organized crime.

So now Rockstar is against "Hollywood Hegemony"?

@ara: Probably, but it does illustrate the kind of situations where mandatory installs can be big nuisance. It hasn't happened to me on consoles yet, but there are plenty of PC games I dropped without finishing (sometimes barely even touching them) to which I would probably give another chance if they didn't require
