AMD's Radeon cards offers similar functionality with their HD3D tech, but so far almost no games support it (and from what I hear, Deus Ex HR does so poorly), so I have to rely on TriDef's third party software. Thankfully it does a great job mostly of handling the conversion.

Yeah, I am using the TriDef Ignition software and a Radeon HD 6870 on my computer. Basically, it creates 3D for games that don't natively support it by off-setting images. It's a more elaborate system than the basic 2D-3D of some systems and if profiles are properly tweaked prevents distortion on menus and text.

So I bought a 3D monitor last night (the LG Cinema 3D 23"). I was a bit skeptical but wanted to try out stereoscopic 3D gaming.

So close to running to Fry's and buying a 3D monitor. Why do I love frittering money away?

Ah Movember. I can't wait to ditch my super creepy molestache. I gotta keep reminding myself it's for a good cause...

I'd give the Free to Play stuff a try at least. Personally, I couldn't get into the game and much preferred the feel and style of Lord of the Rings Online and the beta time I had with Star Wars the Old Republic. But if you like the game, there are still a ton of people playing.

Forza 4 is stupidly addictive, especially the Rivals mode. I have become obsessed with beating the ghosts of friends and random strangers.

Oh snap! How long is that sale going for? I've got 900 odd MSP in my account and have been waiting for something to buy.

That Starcraft II deal is also good in store at Target. Mine had a ton of copies left. Also had the WoW Battle Check for $10.

Congrats on being able to be a season ticket holder again! I am exiled to the west coast, but am seeing them play late December against the Canes when I am home for Christmas. Super excited for it!

Sure, I may be Pittsburgh biased, but holy junk was Crosby impressive in his return. 2 goals, 2 assists. It almost seemed scripted in how big it was.

I hate to be that guy, but: *prepares Comic Book Guy voice*

SHE MUST HANG A BUNCH OF YELLOW RIBBONS AND FLAGS AS PENANCE OR SHE IS NOT AMERICAN!

Big ticket items like the PS3 may be limited to a couple dozen in stock. They're called "loss leaders" because they intend to lose money that is made up by drawing people to the store in droves, so they don't want to sell a lot. Just enough to bring the crowds who will mask their disappointment with buying other

$60 x 6.5 = $390 million. They announced they made $775 million plus, which led people to speculate it sold 12 million copies. Which it didn't. It sold better, but not as much as others were initially speculating. And the bundling of Elite ensured that far more Hardened editions sold than past years because of the

This is where the huge jump in profit over Black Ops came from. There's $30 million right there, and that's one retailer. Consider all the extra "special editions" sold at $100 that included the subscription as well. The game sold amazingly well, yes, but it wasn't quite the huge swell over the last installment that

At the launch party for Skyrim Todd Howard predicted that the game would earn more Game of the Year awards than either Morrowind or Oblivion. It'll be interesting to see if there's any truth to that boast.

No. If you read the rubrics on sites like Joystiq, a 5/5 means that the game is highly recommended to all gamers. Nowhere does it say that it indicates perfection. I assume a lot of the 5 star reviews are the same way. It's the highest score, but it doesn't mean perfect.

Agreed. The first time I saw the city standing on that awesome arch I gasped at how great it looked.

Yeah. Just start a new game. This isn't like most console games. You don't have to overwrite your old character to start again. Just be sure to manually save each character before quitting (because I am not sure if the quicksave slots are exclusive).
