I agree that there is a lot more depth in games like these, but if that depth is so well hidden than an average person can't at least get involved in the game, I don't want to play it, and I am glad Totilo has given me some hope that there is a way in for new people to the series, even if he didn't address the deeper

I am glad you did this preview, Totilo. And I think that having someone who isn't a fan of the genre looking at the game is MORE helpful than a die-hard team-based shooter fan. It helps let us know whether the game is something open to the general gaming public or if it's something best left to the fans of the genre.

You monsters! The price tag had been the only thing keeping me away. Seven days is enough for it to get its tendrils in me. WHY!?

Please. Everyone knows life hasn't been good since they released the "Industrial Revolution" expansion. They turned a simple subsistence farming endgame into a tedious grind for meaningless loot. And they totally destroyed the class balance by focusing on the upper class and the Caucasian race is totally OPed.

That's as I remembered then. So long as they make it a normal or better month of PSN+ it's a nice deal (even if it's meant to get more subs). My fear is that since this month is for everyone, though, they'll fudge it with bad games or poor discounts.

Oh, they changed that policy? I was lead to believe that at launch any PSN+ free game expired when your PSN+ account lapsed. The service seems much better if that restriction is gone. Or do you just mean the discounted games that you buy.

Am I just too much of a cynic, or does "a free month of PlayStation Plus" defeat the purpose of the service? We get a few games that expire in a month, some mediocre discounts, and demos get released a few days early for everyone. Just seems like a carrot dangle to get people to subscribe and will most likely just

Brandywine is still the best, from what I hear, in terms of size and diversity. I have been playing on Crickhollow and mostly enjoying it, but the population is a bit lower as it was only opened in September when the F2P change happened. The fun part, though, is that it's essentially a virgin territory so the economy

I did the same thing a few months back. The free to play brought me in, but I subbed shortly after. I am still very much enjoying it and have been having a great time with the kin I joined.

So I finally start FFXIII last night, and while I can certainly see where the complaints about linearity stem, so far I am really enjoying it. The graphics and presentation are top notch, and the battles so far feel solid, even if you only control one character.

I have yet to start FFXIII, so I can't comment there, but the Doom map comparison has always annoyed me. I would argue that a game like Doom is infinitely more "linear" than a modern shooter like Halo.

Easily one of my favorite overall instrument songs out of the DLC. The drums and bass are engaging and challenging without being over the top or resorting to "OMG 250 BPM BLAST BEATS!". That and it's so damn funky.

They aren't out until June.

You're above the requirements on CPU. NWN2 is an older game, and those processors are older single core processors. A dual core 2.4 GHz should be better than a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz single core. I don't know the rest of your system, but any modern dual core should be fine for the game.

My father's family had to stop playing Monopoly when he and his brother were kids, as that exact scene would happen every time one of them got a lead.

Snap, son. Fireball Island was my jam growing up. I love playing Munchkins now. Or a classic game of Spades.

I have the feeling that the hidden file was left as a red herring, especially if the hack was done first and foremost to extract financial information.

Doubt it. I have gotten those for year, even after moving cross country and changing phone numbers (which I did for reasons unrelated to those calls).
