"Pop" had a famously troubled production, and it shows. Even the best songs ("Gone", "Do You Feel Loved", "Last Night on Earth", "Mofo") suffer from weird production choices and the weak ones ("Miami", "Playboy Mansion", "If God Will Send His Angels") feel even more half-baked as a result. The entire record deserved a

Speaking of 'Metroid', be sure to check out Jeremy Parish's analyses at his The Anatomy of Games website. He took on 'Metroid', 'Super Mario Bros.', 'Kid Icarus' and others last year, and he just finished a brilliant series of articles on 'Super Metroid'.

And while we´re at it, they should go back to what they did a couple of years back with the screenplay categories: they used to play clips of the movies with a voiceover reading of the corresponding portion of the script, complete with observations, stage directions, notes and more. That was a neat and brief intro

Absolutely. It's gonna be huge.
Cracked's photoplasty contributors are already hard at work at WWII-style anti-AV Club propaganda posters. And tomorrow morning someone is going to commission Sean O'Neal to draft some kind of non-aggression pact with The Dissolve, as a precaution. Because that always works out great.

You mean why never The Beatles? God knows.

Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles

Man, Tasha Robinson is such a wonk.

Man, Tasha Robinson is such a wonk.

"…next single “Team” is the other club-ready, sparkly thumper…"

Moving on to movies:
- The Golden God party in "Almost Famous".
- Both parties from "Superbad", if humanly possible.
- The sordid house party briefly glimpsed at the begginning of "Y tu mamá también", tough I'd probably leave that one early.

The first two examples that come to my head are not really from movies, but actually from music videos: I would love to attend the parties depicted in the videos for Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" and Deftones' "Change (In the House of Flies)", tough as anyone who's seen both videos will likely understand, I'll

I'll do my best to try. The parts I've seen have been in TCM which, while not totally underwhelming, is not optimal.

Just yesterday I was watching "Lawrence of Arabia", a movie I've only seen in parts and never to completion. The crossing of the sun's anvil is magnificent, unique, once-in-a-lifetime filmmaking, and O'Toole is magnetic in it. I'll try to watch the whole movie during the holidays. He'll be sorely missed. R.I.P.

You shall be remembered. Incidentally, "Y tu mamá también" is a great movie and this is a fine review.

Finished yet?

I know that. Still, I really fell in love with it in 2013. Same with "Olita del Altamar".

Probably "Elephant" as well. Or maybe Cafe Tacvba's "Olita del Altamar"

Tame Impala's "Elephant". Could very well be my favorite song of 2014, too.

Great.

I think you've got the wrong guy. It it's any help I've heard great things about "Wolf Hall".
