People can have opinions. If they are good at presenting their argument and it is sound (like Kerr’s usually are) then I don’t care what the person does for a living. They are worth listening to.

It seems to me that much of the Big 4 Hall of Fames, especially the Baseball Hall of Fame, have become more cynical and business-focused.
For example, Barry Bonds’ and Roger Clemens’ non-induction in the Hall of Fame is all cynicism.

I don’t necessarily disagree that they should move out of leadership. Especially Schumer. The guy is incompetent. I could see putting Merkley or Murphy or Warren or Klobuchar in the Senate leadership position.

Everything in politics cannot be solved by compromise. Abortion is legal, or it’s not. That awful Supreme Court justice is confirmed, or he’s not. Pollution is properly regulated, or it’s not. Our tax system is sufficiently progressive, or it’s not. We go to war, or we don’t.
