I've owned 3 BMW's over the years....a 3 Series and two 5-Series. I presently own a heavily modified Corvette C6 which evolved into a dedicated track car. When selecting a new car, we each have our own preferences, wants and needs. For instance, a 2-seat sports car may not be practical for everyone. There are all

The abrasive, 'dental drill' sound of electric auto racing. I won't be watching but I'm all for electric automobile racing. My only problem with all the green technology in auto racing is that it supplants 'traditional' auto racing (such as Formula 1 which has sadly evolved into a gimmicky green racing venue). IMO

You're right about the more powerful than advertised L88 engine. It was a beast in its day. That said many don't consider the Corvette a "muscle car" in the strictest sense of the term.

In the United States 7 of the 10 so-called "American Made" vehicles are Japanese brands. I wonder if the Japanese use near the same percentages of foreign sourced parts for their domestic auto production.

Very sad....a child now without parents. I was never a big street racer but I haven't always been a saint either. Feeling an ongoing need for speed I evolved into an avid, amateur road racer. There are numerous legal, safe road racing venues throughout the country.....SCCA, NASA, HPDE courses and local car club events

bravo zulu

I appreciate how you feel but IMO the fact that Fux is successful with a large car collection doesn't lessen the sting of having your Enzo damaged due to the needless negligence of others. I still feel for the guy.

It seems to be a fairly dangerous sport....perhaps most of all for the spectators lining the course.

A rose by any other name....it's always been the "Dodge Viper" to me. I'm a 'Corvette guy' but I've always admired the Viper. It's good to see Viper fielding a heritage based livery.

Without building false hope, I'll take the news as a positive sign. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with Michael, his family and friends.

I race a modified Corvette C6 so I'm biased but I agree, the Corvettes are by far the best sounding GT cars at Le Mans. As one writer once said the Corvettes are "the Gods of V8 thunder!" Ferrari, Porsche and others each have their signature sound but IMHO there's nothing better than the snarl of a naturally aspirated

"So who wants a DeltaWing as their family car?"

I agree....an automatic option could only help Viper sales. Corvette finally offered an automatic option for the Z06 and IMO Viper would be wise to do the same. That said I can only hope the new Corvette automatic is an improvement over previous versions. Serious Corvette road racers avoid the automatic gearbox like

You got that right!

What do you expect? They're talented drivers....not actors. I suppose it's a necessary evil but it's a shame the drivers have to whore themselves out to sponsors for a dollar. As for Kimi, I like the guy but I hope he's more animated when speaking in his native language. Some think it's cool but when the 'Iceman'

I drove big 3/4 ton, 4WD Suburban's for decades and parking wasn't a problem. When backing into a parking space you utilize the trailer hitch as a battering-ram. You stop when you hit the car behind you. On a more serious note, some find late model Corvettes difficult to park. With a low front end it's easy to run up

Not so....many firearms are used for target-shooting, trap or skeet. Combat shooting competitions are also popular where again, targets are used without killing or injuring anyone. Mounted cowboy shooting competitions also employ targets. Some firearms collectors never shoot weapons in their collection choosing to

I don't know anyone....at least anyone who actually pays income taxes....who doesn't want to legally minimize their tax liability. With Hendrick and other people of substantial means I rather doubt their primary motivation for such a large donation is the tax write-off. Many wealthy people donate to causes they have a

"The world's most successful and well known automaker, Marussia..."; "...the Marussia F1 Team, which is Formula One's most storied and successful operation..." I fail to understand this choice of wording to describe Marussia for any purpose....very bizarre!

Considering Clarkson's typical anti-US sentiments I'm not surprised North Korea would approve of the show. That'll probably last until Jeremy critiques a North Korean made car. Let's hope North Korea 'invites' Jeremy there and holds him permanently.
