I disagree with you- I’m going to leave it at this:

1. She DID NOT KNOW that she was indestructible prior to her fighting Ares. As such, she thought she was risking her life to save innocents, and nothing she discovered afterwards changes that choice or its implications for her character.

Why were there no think pieces comparing James Bond or the Willis character in Die Hard to Superman in this way?

THIS- it is important for little boys to have Female role models, in the same way it is of crucial importance for society that little white children today grow up with POC role models.
