I've actually been considering doing exactly that. A fun low-cost commuter.
I can understand why rising prices have kept the E30 out of the running. However, due to supply, beater Miatas are still easy to come by. the reasoning for keeping that off he list seems to be: "we all know it would win (the answer is always Miata), so we kept it off the list."

Meh. Audi managed to take the styling of the TT that made it unique and killed it.
I don't have the money for a 991 either... but I do wish I had one. There are plenty of cars (too many) that I can't afford but want — this is not one of them.
Not sure how the exterior still squeezes out a 6/10. Even by this description, it should be a 3/10. It's sad if we think that a 3 in car design can be a 6 merely by having nice LEDs.
