As an SS owner, I can definitely say you have to get the manual. I test drove the automatic and it was terrible. It was GM’s 6L80e and it felt like a 2 generation old 6 speed transmission. Shifts were slow and clunky and the manual shifting mode was very very laggy. Completely pointless. The only thing it was good for
