‘59 Cadillac Convertible is the right answer. Its design is magnificent, has presence and character and sex appeal.

Do European Delivery then.

XG300 is the first car from a non-luxury brand that I recall having Tiptronic shifting.

Glad somebody remembered this¡

Roust look at a Mazda6, darn near the same thing - but it runs.

Tons Californians moving this way every month.

Honda and Toyota are also in Indiana. Honda produces minivans in Alabama and Toyota makes Corollas in Mississippi.

Don’t forget awful dealer network... Nearest dealers from Dallas, TX are 30+ minutes away (Ft Worth and McKinney).

My ‘93 Grand Cherokee had many alarm issues...turns out it had two relays and they’re in different fuse boxes (car had two or something, it’s been 20 years). It was a pain. I had to use the key to unlock the trunk to reduce chances of drama.

Lexus LS 460. Always been a Bimmer guy, but when I needed a big car with great a/c for roadtrips around Texas... I knew that it’d be an LS, a Chevy SS or a Land Cruiser.... after all, 8-cylinders, a spare tire and infrequent repairs make a lot of sense when driving far away.

I heard no-warranty rumor, but haven’t confirmed it.

my 135 will do 100 in 3rd gear and that inline-6 sings a sweet song the whole way there. I guess in 2nd gear I’d stay below 50. Just move to Texas, our straights have better speed limits than that.

And the MINI probably drives better, and with a great stickshift.

how hard would it be to import this car and register it in Texas?

I know the feeling. My BMW 135 convertible has a plastiky squeak on the passenger side a-pillar that sounds on very road imperfection (including invisible ones) when driving on concrete roads (quieter on asphalt). It’s driving me nuts. Twice BMW of Dallas has said they’ve addressed it, and it just keeps getting

is that Subaru for automatic or for manual cars? I believe the systems are different.

rented a 2017 XTS last weekend. It was great, except CUE quit playing all audio on the way to my destination. The next morning it restarted, worked fine. Then it quit playing all audio again. No bluetooth phone or music, no USB music, not even FM radio. Took another “park the car and exit for 60 seconds” reboot to
