It definitely seems like an early adopter type vehicle, as that price is putting you in fast bike territory. No plug-charging feels like a miss, but maybe the complexity wasn’t worth it on their first attempt? Did Kawasaki explain that decision? I know it’s a short range, but for short jaunts to a store or something

Yeah, Sur Rons are all over the place in Ohio. Technically it’s illegal to ride them on the street over like 15 mph, but that doesn’t stop goons from ripping down sidewalks at 25 mph.

The gas engine sounds exactly like you’d expect a gasoline 450 twin to sound. The electric motor is totally drowned out when the gas engine is on throttle. The electric motor alone was pretty quiet compared to my Livewire, but you could hear it a little bit over the sound of the drive chain.

It’s a nice mode to have, but unless your morning commute is under a dozen miles and all surface streets, you won’t be using it often.”

Most of forensic science has traditionally been little more than a big circle-jerk designed to produce convictions in court. It has no other function, and the “scientists” who work in the field routinely cite and back up each other’s work to make it all look more legit. This allows them to point at journal articles

What’s kinda funny is that they mention bite marks in that article, but the “science” of bite marks has been called into question just as much.

A lot of the forensic “sciences” boil down to some dude’s Mark 1 eyeball. Forensic firearms examination (along with other tool mark comparisons) is sketch as well.

I hope the bird strike theory doesn’t Sully the reputations of the deceased pilots.

Yeah - bird strike or not, that doesn’t explain why the gear weren’t extended. When all else fails, it’s a mechanical release and gravity freefall on the 737. It really doesn’t make sense.

They need to deflect anything and everything that’s bad in the country now that Trump is back in office. Nothing is ever his fault.

You forgot to add how in politics anything that good that happened a sitting pres will 100% take credit for, even when they had nothing to do with it, and blame their predecessor for anything that goes wrong unless their predecessor had the same letter next to their name, in which case go back the the predecessor with

Of course the conservatives are still blaming Obama for everything they can because the only guy on their side in the last 12-15 years is currently back in the White House. And, of course, he can do no wrong. Especially when he does.

The lack of 30 year old gas guzzlers is what is driving up the price of used cars now?

There is a WORLD of difference between anticipating the results of a dumber than fuck vote, and actually voting the dumb fuck party. They are not equal.

gonna go with nothing will.

Vegas, huh?

Besides, you can probably just fix everything with Jetta parts. It’s basically a Volkswagen Jetta, right?

I guess I would just say, don’t let these pricks take your humanity.

I like this thinking. This is the animal spirit of jalopnik. It’s the built not bought ethos but out there on a wing and a prayer that maybe you won’t have to do the built part. And if you do, I mean, if you really had to, you could always just LS swap it with a junkyard V8. No one would know unless you opened the

I would hope there is a way to cross reference cheaper parts from Volkswagen/Audi. You will need a dedicated garage with a lift, a full line of tools and diagnostic equipment, of course.
