2.5 kWh in a package that small and light is AMAZING. From the picture, that’s 1/2 or 1/3 the volume and weight of my old Zero’s 2.8 kWh pack.

Yeah, I did the Honda regulator swap, and it definitely charged better but I was leaving the bike sitting longer than that.
That’s the weird thing. Tesla opened the Supercharger patents, but aren’t opening access to their charging network as far as I know. It’s a shame, the Supercharger connector setup is a really nice way to handle DC fast charging without involving a bunch of confusing connector types.
Darn you, I think I see a Lithium battery in Velma the Buell’s future. Spike doesn’t have a battery and the Zero is already lithium, so that’ll be a clean sweep of the fleet.
Only been a couple years, but it’s great, I just don’t have any worries about dead batteries anymore. I think my problem has been self-discharge. Basically, I don’t ride each bike enough to charge it regularly and I don’t use a Battery Tender, so the battery sulfates itself to death.
Tesla got there first.
Not to be confused with Ono-Sendai.
Hard same. I named my SV650 “Jinx” because she kept stranding me after long rides. Swapped in a Shorai battery and she’s been steady as a rock. I think my Buell is jealous and wants one too now.

As a teenager after World War 1, Cunningham participated in street races with his uncle in a Dodge powered by a Hispano-Suiza aircraft engine.
I’ve been really missing these. The “suckers on BaT’ articles are draining even just to scroll by, these are the funnest thing going here now that Raph’s stopped microdosing peyote.
Can confirm that Activision workers have hated Kotick for over a decade.
A 700cc hipster commuter seems as far from the usual GasGas MX and trials bikes as one can get. Instead, could you imagine a bratty li’l 160# urban-assault bike?
Andy would not even remotely be the first one. And unless he’s an auto-masochist like Tracy, he should be mostly writing about other people’s cars, right?
Yup, never was about mandates, or truckers. Just a show of force by insurgent white supremacists.
