No more slaying. So corny.

I think there needs to be some deep journalism on the topic of dick pic senders. Get a couple of them in a room and ask them all the questions everyone wants to know about their unwanted service: “Absolutely no one wants you to do this, so why do you think it’s a good idea? What do you expect to happen after you send

Is there a market for these kinds of pictures at all? Like, I don’t know anyone who is excited to receive them yet men keep sending them.

Ew.

I totally disagree with all of this. It’s all sorta nonsensical. Factory farming is an environmental issue. Consumption an environmental issue. You can’t separate your diet from environmentalism. Intersectionality plays here as well.

I think the argument is expressed narrowly in the tweet (which isn’t helpful). But I think it can be soundly argued that environmentalism (with animal rights as a feature) is a feminist issue. I’m not sure people are yet comfortable with embrace real discussions about class and the environment that demand changes in

So an argument that says that the way we treat other humans rests of the foundation of how we treat animals/the environment is ridiculous and not worth a thought? Even in the face of all the social, economic, and political disasters the world may confront with climate change and reduced resources? Sorta totally crazy

Unless it’s Leonardo DiCaprio. Those comment sections are filled with arguments about age differences being “gross.”

I know it’s not.

Thank goodness. I thought this comment section would degenerate into people saying adults in a relationship with a ten year age difference is wrong.

You don’t understand the argument. It’s not an argument I’d ever pull, but I think it’s flying over the heads of people here (not surprised).

Do you want to take the time to work through the argument? It’s not as crazy as it sounds and no one is saying a woman is a chicken.

Is anyone going to argue about how their age difference is gross?

Johanna Unhinged more like it.

It’s an incredibly messy subject that takes a lot of time to sort through. I understand why people condense the disparate Afghani resistance. Who is really going to take the time to learn about the schisms between Hezb-i-Islami and its rivalry with Rabbani’s Jamiat-i-Islami that occurred in the late 70s? Or the ethnic

Read my comment about the history of the Taliban.

Yeah, duh. However, the problem with trying to talk about the Taliban as a US created, armed, and trained entity (or something sorta related) is that they simply weren’t. They were largely a Pakistani response to the ongoing civil war post-Soviet intervention— you know, at that time, a civil war between resistance

Nope. The Taliban didn’t exist at the time.

The US didn’t arm and train the Taliban.

I don’t think I’ve ever been disgusted by pundits like this my whole life.
