Why is it pathetic?

Has it ever occurred to you that people don’t all have the same life experiences? And that when people get into relationships, they approach them with different desires and expectations that may not conform to the way you have experienced life?

It sounds like you have a maturity age gap of your own to deal with.

Yeah, there’s this bubble from people who are college educated, lived a programed life, do dumb stuff they are “supposed to do”, and then totally neglect that not everyone lives that life and has a totally different approach to assessing experiences.

You have a really naive understanding of life. This has nothing to do with your age, whatever it might be.

Have you tried to convince everyone in the past that age differences are gross? You’re gross.

I feel like Bobby Fingers has never actually listened to the song in question.

The discussion about power difference in relationships between adults based on age is totally faulty and sorta stupid.

Wait, there are awards that aren’t made up? I always thought awards were transcendent objects that existed before time.

The guy flipping out sounds like a piece of garbage.

No. The “good music is subjective” argument in the sense you are trying to use it is totally hollow. And then the claim that all pop, rock, folk, electronic, etc is low brow is totally false.

Are good songs ever discussed on Jezebel? This place has the refined tastes of middle school children.

Sigh. Just another article that shows how much people play make believe to make things more interesting than they really are. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.

This was very corny. I hate all of you.

I don’t know what’s worse: associating Beyonce with “artistic depth” or the induction of “slaying” into the lexicon of corny slang. Still don’t get the talented argument people use in describing her mediocre music.

This article was great. Sorta wish the writers here were as openly critical of Beyonce and other artists who are hijacking certain images because it sells.

It’s like people have never read literature written by men. Illiterate society 2016.

I really do think it’s a matter of both. I find the content of the blog interesting because I don’t find any of the writers really knowledgable about anything— not even the pop culture they disseminate. There’s little critical engagement. I see this environment more as a place for normalizing or co-opting ideological

Sums up Jezebel:

Have you geniuses figured out that many of these performers don’t write their own songs, music isn’t necessarily biographical, and this sort of tabloid journalism doesn’t expose anything except the base pettiness of the publications and audiences that consume this act?
