    Not even. The lawyers will get all the money. Consumers will get another free year of credit monitoring by a company that Equifax owns that, surely, millions of people will keep paying for after the free monitoring expires. Ultimately, Equifax will be rewarded for this breach, not punished.

    Yes. Applying for credit is only one thing crooks can do with all this info. I think the biggest problem will come next year and future years when the bad guys file fraudulent tax returns and collect refunds.
