Yup. It doesn’t work with the overall design of the car. The base car its self is more sensual than aggressive which works against what they’re going for.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but the AMG GT got uglier as they cranked out more and more variants. Now it just looks bulbous.

Is give it another shot and start back in Michigan banging out some of the easier missions and finding trucks and trailers to sell. I put it down 1 hour in and hated it. When I came back to it and got the Scout and an AWD / diff locked hauler it became a blast.

It’s not an autobahn cruiser. It’ll be zippy from the light or on the on-ramp and that’s just about right for a car like this IMO.

Mazdaspeed has always been more than just the engine though.  Lower, stiffer suspension, wider tires, always a manual transmission.  The engine portion has been the biggest issue for Mazda so if that’s sorted out they should be in a better place to offer another Mazdaspeed

Save yourself a boatload of money and buy one that is a couple years old.  They depreciate faster than anything I can think of offhand.

Didn’t Mazda offer a pair of anemic engines for the longest time before coming back to their sense and bringing a Turbo on the top trim model that no one buys, because no one buys a Mazda over a luxury brand ?
