One of my favorite college professors had a saying that’s stuck with me: “Numbers don’t lie; the bastards who use them do.”

Adjust for sample size though and the story is a bit different. There are many, many, many more NON-Tesla vehicles racking up miles than Telsas - so of course the Teslas are going to have few accidents...

Looks like a mashup between a Honda/Acura crossover and a VW Tiguan/Lincoln clone.

Thanks! But they’re not Durbans =P They are OEM though haha.

Yes, to get the rear fog to work, you need to add a Euro headlight switch with rear fog position and an additional wire from the car’s wiring to the aftermarket harness that enables the amber signals. No splicing needed, as you use an open terminal on the car’s wiring connection. Then just a quick adjustment to the

Came here to say the exact same thing. And then people wonder why we’re falling behind the rest of the world in the areas that matter... If only people spent this much time looking at politics, current events, science, etc.

And on that bombshell...

Absolutely! A standard “maintenance” wash takes me about 20-30 mins, so not a huge deal. Even less time if I skip the detail spray and just dry the car with my leaf blower.

Believe it or not, I have not needed to polish the car yet in my 2+ years of owning it. Just proper TLC from the very beginning. This shot was taken after being clayed, and then sealed with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. I apply this sealant every few months or so. I also use some Adam’s Polishes products - namely

Fully wired and coded for proper European operation.

I’d gladly do yours after I finish mine this weekend. Weekly/biweekly washes for me =)

Whoa. Great link.

So it worked great. Until it didn’t. And someone died.

Absolutely agree with all of this. Betas are fun and games on phones, computers, and apps. Completely different story in the physical world with multi-ton objects traveling at high speeds with constantly changing conditions and variables.

But some of those activities are already against the law (depending on what state you’re in for cell phones, etc. of course). The Tesla Autopilot system is legally approved...

Haha yes sir! Not Durbans though =P

I understand it's a very rare and unplanned scenario. But surely the car should be looking for anything in its way that is as tall and wide as the vehicle itself that may be an obstacle. Seems like a flawed set of sensors if they can't see a damn semi blocking the road.

Absolutely agree.

Carbon Steel Gray =)

Then it’s a fundamentally flawed system and shouldn’t be fit for use on public roads. (Granted, the driver was likely overzealous in his use of the toys as well).
