Meh. It was a very weak ad from an advertising standpoint. 90 seconds to tell not much of a story, and it didn't even mention or allude to the fact that it was the new Maxima at the end. Browsing through Twitter showed that nobody caught onto it being the new Maxima either. I wanted to like the spot, but it felt a

Car parts/accessories for sure.

I'm not saying to make it standard, but at least give us the option of paying for all the goodies we want. The lighting package costs $995 and includes only the bixenon headlights. Why not charge $1295 and include LED tails too? The enthusiasts will absolutely pay for it. And those who don't care don't have to get

VW should use the same wiring and tail lights everywhere in the world. (I know our antiquated DOT regulations prevent them from using the same light designs. Just something I know a lot of owners would prefer).

The R gets its own wheels, quad exhaust pipes, a unique front air dam, "R" badges all over the place and other touches to separate it from the more pedestrian Golfs. Our version won't get the blacked-out taillights of the Euro-spec cars on hand for this drive, Because Regulations. Lame.

/DRIVE who?

Came here to say exactly this. The CGT is my favorite car of all time and will likely stay that way for a long, long time.

Let's hear your side of the story then.

VW EA888 2.0T.

Yeah - 7 mile Bridge is pretty bad. The views are great and its not even that scary. But the traffic sucks, which means you have to make sketchy overtake maneuvers over the dashed-yellow a lot.

Yeah, thats what I figured would still happen. Looks like I'll still be torrenting on Sundays lol

I looked at BBC America's scheduling and it shows that series 22 will air on Monday night actually (in a 1.5 hour block - so I assume there will be commercials). Not sure why they're staggering it, but still a really great sign that we get the new episodes along with the rest of the world!

I just laughed way too hard. COTD for sure.

Weak.

I genuinely get chills every time I see this.

All VW needs to do is listen to their fans here in the US. Stop this nonsense of watered-down, decontented versions of what they get everywhere else in the world. For instance, the new Passat in Europe is a stunning vehicle - but we'll probably never see it here. VW needs to return to being the stepping stone into

Plenty of cars with DRLs and manual headlights. Auto headlights are usually on higher trims or top of the line models only.

It's not the DRLs to blame - its the manufacturers who go the cheap route and use the main beams as DRLs. Modern LED lit gauges are to blame as well because they're always illuminated. VW fits their cars with a light sensor in the gauge cluster. When its too dark out, the cluster also goes dark - prompting the

Yep - Mk7 GTI here and also very pleased with the infotainment system. Sure, I'd love a bigger, higher-res screen, but in terms of functionality it works great.
