Blind spot monitoring systems make you a safer, more aware driver on the highway and in the city. Some have a light that illuminates on the mirror to let you know if a car is in your blind spot, and some have an additional, angled mirror to augment your view behind. Both are equally useful.

Automatic headlights make sure we have the proper amount of light without blinding every oncoming car.

I definitely agree there. But at the end of the day, the car is still great so it doesn't bother me as much as it once did when we first found out they'd be switching GTIs to Mexico.

Here's another from my Instagram - hope the link works.

Here's mine for comparison (only photo I have on my phone while I'm at work). Note the front fender gap compared to yours.

Yep - pucks are definitely still in there. Don't think your suspension is ruined, but I wouldn't roll around with them in there much longer. Your dealer is at fault here - the cars come with pre-delivery instructions and these pucks (while a new thing for VW) are addressed in those instructions.

If by ATF, you're talking about DSG fluid changes - you absolutely need to have the fluid and filter changed. Some dealers are (atrociously) selling DSG cars and telling customers they never need to be serviced. Its right in the manual - 40k mile DSG service.

I don't buy the whole "if its not German built..." argument. Most of the car is built with robots and automated procedures to begin with. And VW invested heaps of money into the Puebla plant to bring it to the same standard as any other VW plant. That includes the same robots, tools. procedures, etc. Will there be

Do you happen to have any pics showing the front fender gap? I can tell you right away if they're still in there.

Are you sure you don't still have the shipping pucks in the front suspension? See here for details: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php…

Dealers should be taking care of this prior to delivery, but its been a huge problem around the country.

The free maintenance is now a joke by the way: 1 year/10,000 miles. So 1 oil change and you're done...

Do it - it's a fantastic car!

Looks like I'll be contacting my dealer - thanks for the heads up Jalopnik!

Meh. Looks like a color that belongs on a Hyundai Veloster, not a premium grand tourer/sports car

Ever heard of immigration and customs?

My thoughts exactly. If I were a dealer or auto manufacturer, I'd actually appreciate honest and true surveys. How else can you figure out what your strengths and weaknesses are?

What's changed for 2015? Knowing Honda, probably nothing. I say go for it!

Man, I wish I had read this post about a month ago when I picked up my GTI. My family and I have been going to this specific dealer for years now and we know a lot of the sales and service guys very well.

Long story short though, I received my GTI and it was not properly prepped for delivery. They had left the

That's true - I forgot how damn economical the Vette is despite its power.

Last I heard, it was "confirmed" for 2018.
