Don't have an exact link, but archives are all here: http://www.liveatc.net
100% pilot error. He opted for a visual approach (confirmed via ATC) and ended up way short of the runway. He then flared to extend the approach a bit but lost speed and struck the tail WAY short of the lines. Pilot botched his landing BAD.
Fair point, my mistake.
I've locked brakes on a bone dry road before. Quite easy if you don't have ABS or 4 wheel discs in a sudden panic like this. (97 Civic w/ Hankook tires btw).
Yeah, the hot hatch segment was awesome. A bit surprised the new GTI wasn't featured. Hope they include it in a segment soon.
Proper spelling is even more important.
I have the exact same thoughts every time I see an episode lol.
I disagree. HDR, when done well, is extremely valuable in architecture/interior/construction photos. As a photographer myself, I commend the use of HDR here. Allows for more detail to be captured in downright challenging lighting conditions. I'd much rather use subtle HDR than flashes and strobes in this type of…
A majority of new car buyers (and younger drivers as well) couldn't care less what's under the hood these days. As long as their car has an iPhone connection and touchscreen they're happy. Blissful ignorance.
I suspect they just gave a very liberal time frame. Under-promising and over-delivering is key.
"Noise is unused energy," stresses Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich who is delighted by the whispering murmur of the R18 TDI. "The sound is unique," raves Le Mans record winner Tom Kristensen. "It’s hard to describe. You have to hear it yourself. I think it’s fantastic."

And I couldn't agree…
That's fine and dandy, but I'm thinking realistically and within the time that Glass will be available to the public. There's no denying that heads up displays are great, but it will be years before they're even remotely close to being main stream.
This.
If there weren't any other options to park further away from other cars, I'm afraid I'd do this with my hypothetical super car as well... Just being honest.
Except F-35 pilots are highly skilled and spend countless hours in training. Let's face it: most drivers suck and Glass will only make it worse (on average and in general).
THIS. THIS x1,000,000,0000.
Love the way new dashboards/gauges look, but their always on LEDS are so deceiving to idiot drivers. And don't even get me started on the DRL issue.
Hmm. I'm a massive GTI fan and have been lusting after one for many years now. But I've never been a fan of the Detroits. Even though they're special order OEM wheels, I much prefer VW's Karthoum in painted silver. Much classier and more modern in my opinion. Do like the new autobahn package wheels though.
Same car that EVO's Harry Metcalfe drove a little while back. He even mentioned that the car was being delivered to S. America after his drive. Awesome car.
Amen. I'm all for traditional manuals and all the feedback and enjoyment they provide. But the simple fact is that newer, more advanced, and more efficient technology has arisen in the form of dual clutch transmissions. Progress is a good thing in my book.
