Easy, proving the indestructible nature of the Toyota Hilux! Especially the end when it was perched on top of the building being demolished.
Not me, but my dad. Dad used to work for NCR back in the day as a cash register repairman. (Way before everyone started using their iPhones and Square and the registers were mechanical, not computerized...). Told store owner (during the race riots) that he would either have the spot open directly in front of the store…
None of them. I find them all to be exceptionally boring, and the delivery of the host sounds like he’s reading from cue cards.
The Greenberg Cadillac Museum in Brookville, PA. Because who else would have more than one Cadillac Cimmaron in their collection? Seriously, I spent a couple hours with the guy who assembled the collection and he’s super interesting to talk to.
My personal preference is to be purely functional. Like mudflaps and Weathertech floor mats. Nerf bar steps for the Bronco with a winch mount and winch for when it goes off-road.
A convertible 2-door Acura RSX could have been fun...
Well, since my employer no longer has an office in my hometown, and I’ve been working from home for over 3 years now, a comfy pair of merino wool socks to get me from the second floor of the house to the first floor where my home office is will do just fine.
The Cadillac variable displacement engine from the 80's ran on 8, 6, 4, or only 2 cylinders. From a GM nutjob...seriously?
Wasn’t driving, but a passenger. The Mercedes AMG G-Wagon totally sucked. Sales guy I was working with had one, we had to do a drive of about 4 hours each way in February in PA. It started snowing on the way home, and the only option to keep the windshield clear was to blast the defrosters on “bake”, or the wipers…
I had a 2008 Evo X (GRS) and drove it back and forth from Pittsburgh to Philly and DC a number of times. I loved it, and the Recaro seats were great. Never noticed the potholes with as much fun as I always had driving it.
2021 Bronco Badlands: Fun for certain things, reliable
The Ferrari Mondial. Universally loathed.
I find it odd that no one has mentioned the bland, cookie cutter SUVs (Cayenne, Macan)
Pulled in to the local convenience store/gas station to top off air in my tires as the TPS sensor was on. Minding my own business, getting some free air, when some joker pulls up to the pump in a pickup truck with a wood-fired smoker being towed behind it. He starts filling up, no biggie, right? Except that while he’s…
Augusta International road course in Georgia. They only ever ran one NASCAR race there, won by Fireball Roberts in 1963. We need more road courses to make racing more interesting, that one would have been awesome!
1980 International Scout II Terra with a 4-speed manual and the Nissan turbodiesel. My buddy in high school had one. I’ve seen one for sale on Ebay, but it was going for stupid money. The Terra was the one that was configured as a small pickup, and only in 1980 did it have square headlights. Plus that Nissan…
There is a certain beauty in it’s ugliness. Oh, wait, I took my glasses off for a second. Yeah, that’s pretty hideous.
