Other more progressive leagues (NBA) do not allow anthem protests. Since the NFL is a private industry it’s not a free speech issue. An employer can fire me for stating an opinion that is bad for business. I can’t be prosecuted but I sure as hell can be made unemployed.

Simmons is a forward who handles the ball, like LeBron (he is, in fact, probably the player most like young LeBron I’ve seen). Mitchell’s a guard, and has been excellent. Holiday’s arguably been better. Playing him at the 2 and letting Playoff Rondo handle the ball has been a revelation for NOP.
