I like this, but I wished I liked it more than I do. It’s just soo hard to justify something like this when a Vespa already gets ~100mpg. And, the battery seems to kill, if not reduce, some of the usable storage space under the seat that makes Vespas so practical already.

It’s VERY situation dependent, but for me, it’s hard to justify not taking the bike. I have a Ducati Scrambler, and a big BMW GS. Both get ~40 mpg. My wife’s Vespa gets ~100mpg. This looks like an awesome upgrade to my Scrambler! It’s nearing 20K ...or would it be an addition? If only there was room in the garage. ...but, sub-30 mpg? Good grief, how rev-happy are you when you ride? What’s a “normal” mileage expectation out of this bike?  Both my Scrambler and my GS get ~40mpg!

Regarding first gear, seems like an opportunity for motorcycle and scooter manufacturers. Cheap entry costs, low maintenance and operating costs.  I’m surprised I don’t see more young people going two-wheeled.
