How do solar panels or a solar system fit into this discussion? Solar installers think that the $15K system is an instant $15K+ in equity, but I’m not so sure. Any thoughts/comments?

This seems to conflict with the information I got from my insurer (Progressive). At my last policy change I got quoted that my ‘03 Tacoma would cost more to insure than my ‘16 GT4. ($370 vs. $413 per 6 months) ...which made no sense to me, since I could total the GT4 and by 12 Tacomas.
