You’re off your rocker, friend. Wranglers absolutely still have a solid, tube, axle in the front.

Now, if you had said “Sahara trim Wranglers have CV axles in their tubes, for smoother driving/cornering,” no one (you) would have been confused by this IFS/Solid-axle front suspension design kerfuffle.

LOVE this. I had an ‘85 (auto-tranny only). Always wanted to pick up a first-year 6-speed for the old look/new tranny feel.

WRONG! You’re only talking post-facelift C4's. The pre-facelift ZR1's had the same CHMSL as non-ZR1's of the vintage.

Sure, but those are all post-facelift (and wheel-face-lift...?) cars; they’re ALWAYS going to be worth more!

As a former Jeep product owner, they ALL rust.

*WHIFF* -Missed the joke.

Cummins begs to differ.

I’m intolerant of people who specifically hate, yes. But “because you’re conservative” is not basis for me to wish that you don’t receive federal assistance when you need it.

IN FACT, because I’m a “lib,” I HOPE you get federal assistance when you need it!

God forbid you show some humanity for people who may or may not agree with your political, social, or religious views.

Amen! The wife and I waited a week and a half, for the right to own the first Soul Metallic Red 2014 Mazda 6i in the state of California!

Not only is all of LOVR paved, it’s a traffic nightmare nowadays... SLO is SO expensive to live in, that everyone commutes-in from Osos, MB, or Atascadero.... SMH

Too bad there aren’t any more dirt roads around SLO. Even the ones we used to sneak off to (to splash through the mud during El Nino ‘97) are paved up on the Nipomo Mesa. :’(

I read what you wrote and came here to tell you that you were wrong.

Nope. Not on new cars. This is how VW got away with what they got away with. New cars get jacked-in to the machine, and the machine tells them: “report your emissions test results.” The results go straight to the state, and your SMOG Tech will tell you “Pass,” or “Fail.”

Dear Mazda,

Ugh. That font gives me a headache...

I feel like I could get better mileage with a proper stick. I’ve never had a problem exceeding EPA estimates with my Merc’s, with manuals...

Again, I’m pretty sure the CA fuel is a big loss-leader in the MPG battle.

I suppose it’s possible, but I never got the chance to drive traffic-free (again, California). “95" means “I-95,” right? So I’m also assuming you don’t suffer from California fuel

I wouldn’t have been surprised by that fuel efficiency at all. As the (now) former owner of a gas-powered 2014 Mazda6, I (literally) never even got close to its 38mpg highway rating. Over the life of my ownership of that car, I averaged about 24. I got 27 hyper-miling, on CA pump gas, at my best.
